My wife and I just finished a wonderful week in the Lake Placid area, guests of Tony and Nancy at their lodge. Our room, the Cascade, was large, beautifully appointed, and clean. The bath was a good size also and everything worked well. We enjoyed looking out through the patio door each morning, across the meadow, to the Cascade Mountains...

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in the Adirondack room. The rooms are not fancy but clean and very cozy. Our room had a gas fireplace and jacuzzi tub. Nancy makes the best breakfasts. We hiked the cross country trails around the house and it is beautiful. Tony and Nancy also have a maple syrup business and will...

I belong to an all-ladies hiking group that stayed at South Meadow Farm Lodge for a 4 day weekend, 7/31-8/3. The lodge was able to accommodate our entire group of 12 women. OVERALL/GROUNDS: The grounds are beautiful. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. The great room is is set up to for pleasant socializing with a beautiful stone fireplace,...

My husband and I have stayed at South Meadow Farm Lodge for our winter getaway for ten years. We love the location, the breakfasts, the rooms, and the independence we have there. Tony and Nancy are kind, gracious, and helpful, and they give their guests the freedom to simply enjoy the lodge and the area, yet they are available for...

Beautiful, immaculate place to stay while visiting Lake Placid. Breakfast was always delicious and home cooked. Very convenient to downtown Lake Placid. Owners were very friendly. The location is Beautiful! I am extremely picky and it meant my expectations. Rooms were immaculate and beds were very comfortable. I would love to go back sometime.

What a wonderful experience! The farm is located in a great spot - right off the main road, yet far enough away from all the tourism that you feel like you are in the middle of nature. The location is BEAUTIFUL - you wake up to mountains, hills and green grass in the morning. The house is absolutely gorgeous with...

My husband and I have had the pleasure of staying at South Meadow Farm and Lodge many times over the past few years. We have never been disappointed. The rooms are comfortable, clean and have a real Adirondack feel, with lovely views of the surrounding fields and mountains. The common room for guests has comfy couches, a wonderful wood burning...

Location is very good for cross-county skiing, and includes pass to Mt. Van Hovenburg, which has great trails. Value is good, but rooms are sparse and boring. Stayed in the Ferny, which is a very large room with a fireplace. However there was only one chair, not table, no water glasses, absolutely no pictures on the wall, and nothing to...

My husband and I returned from our stay just a couple of days ago. The lodge was beautiful and the owners, Tony & Nancy, were fantastic. We stayed in the Adirondack room, located on the first floor. The bed was very comfortable, we had our own thermostat in the room, and I loved the fact that there was a heat...

My wife and I have been staying here one weekend a year for cross country skiing for 20 years. It is a great place, wonderful breakfasts, friendly, but not imposing owners. If you like cross country skiing, it just can't be beat because it is right on the back half of the phenomenal Olympic ski trails - you just put...
