Once here you’ll understand why the wealthy of the golden age built “camps”. This is an experience. Built on a vantage point overlooking Lake Placid with views of Whiteface in the distance this feels like a world apart. We elected to stay in a cabin by the lake. “Cabin” is mislea

Is there a place to swim? I don’t see any “beach area”?
There is not a sandy beach, only about 1-2' of sand, but there is a grass lawn up to the lake, and you can get into the lake from the beach or from the dock. My 6YO had fun playing in the sand and rocks any way. There is plenty of lake access, but no pool.

Is it Pet friendly?
Yes, it is pet friendly, however, I believe they put all people with pets in cabins, which are a bit more expensive than the Lodge rooms. So you will definitely spend more if you bring your pet.

Is there an exercise room or particularly a treadmill on site?
No. But there are trails to walk on right on the property and mountain bikes available for use. I ran on the road and there's no traffic and rolling hills so you get a good workout.

Was this formerly known as the Interlaken Lodge & Restaurant, and is the address 15 Interlaken Ave.?
No, it's been Lake Placid Lodge for quite a while. There is an Interlaken Lodge in Lake Placid on Interlaken Ave.
