Having had some trouble whilst driving from Cape Town to Windhoek, we needed somewhere to crash in a hurry. Funny enough we were placed in the same room as last time. Things just seem to have gotten worse. The one bed base was cracked in the middle, ceiling still has the same dry damp marks, linen is worn, only 2...

Friendly staff. Out dated rooms but they did have new aircons which was welcomed. Lovely pool and the restaurant food was ok. Hotel is in dire need of an upgrade. You can lock your car in a lock up for an extra $50. Like I said ok for a stop over.

When we arrived in Keetmanshoop on Sunday morning, there was no electricity in the whole town. Not one service station had a generator so we couldn't get fuel and were eventually forced to stay over until the next day. Because it was peek holiday season there were hundreds of other motorists in the same boat and all available accommodation was...

We stayed as part of a tour group. The room we were given was OK but was a bit dated and certainly needed maintenance in the bathroom. The food was very good, both in the evening and at breakfast the next morning (the toast however was a bit old, cold and hard). There was free Wi-Fi but it did not...

I was part of a group of heritage workers attending a conference in May 2014 down there in Keetmanshoop. Though I did'nt stay in the hotel I was annoyed at the manner in which refreshments were served during tea breaks (morning and afternoon) in between our sessions. We were offered rationed sandwiches wrapped in cling wrap plastics on a plate...

We had friends over from Norway and thought it might be a wonderful idea to treat them with some wine and dine at the Canyon Hotel. On our arrival, there were a few other guests as well, but they were not extremely busy at all. After about 10 minutes we realised that nobody was going to serve us. I called...

We got accommodation as walk-ins and got great service from the reception staff as well as the restaurant. Food was good and the hotel is very reasonable for one night stay. I will stay again here if I pass thru Keetmanshoop on my way to Luderitz or back to Upington.

It was all adequate and clean. After a long days driving and dealing with the challenges of a border crossing this hotel was a welcome relief. The staff was super friendly and helpful.
