Room rates are affordable compared to other hotels on the ridge "with mountain views". Rooms are situated in modern Lalibella 2 story tukuls (or huts). Short walk to a great outdoor coffee spot and a well known art gallery. Smooth airport pick up, helpful staff, constant electricity and great water pressure. Beautiful interior decoration. Probably the best ambasha bread in...

We really enjoyed our short stay at Tukul Village. We took a one day onvernight trip from Addis Ababa to visit the rock-hewn churches as a family of 6. As such we appreciated that we could have 2 triple rooms to accommodate our family. The rooms are very comfortable and charming in their traditional decor. The rooms are clean and...

I spent two nights here during a tour of Ethiopia. The room was clean and comfortable and so was the bathroom. unfortunately the staff weren't great. the restaurant staff are particularly unhelpful and slow. the food was really average even for Ethiopia. I rather recommended the Mountain View Hotel.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights . the room is a typical Tukul , very clean with a large bathroom ( only a soap was provided) . I found the room a bit dark probably because it was downstairs overlooking a very nice garden with a lot of trees and plants . Maybe the rooms located upstairs...

Located in the heart of Lalibela and just a few minutes walk to the rock-hewn churches, this boutique hotel has western amenities and clean rooms. The photos online are old photos, the tukuls are now all hidden by thick bougevvilla flowers. The rooms have balconies that look out onto the valley and some of the churches. On Saturday nights you...

This was a very nice hotel, in fact the nicest we had in Ethiopia. Charming traditional houses with all the modern conveniences. it is well situated near the center of town and not far from the curches. The restaurant had simple but good food.

Tukul Village Hotel was a small paradise in middle of the Orthodox Christian Christmas pilgrimage madness. Beautiful rooms, lovely outdoors and good restaurant. Walking distance to all historical sights, shopping or restaurants.

We stayed at the hotel for three nights and had a wonderful time due to the warmth and hospitality of the staff and the guide, Sefiw, who was arranged for my wife and me by the hotel. Accommodation in Ethiopia is not up to Western standards so cannot be compared to hotels in Europe or North America. Nevertheless, our room...

I recently went to Tukul Village and although our visit was lovely and our room was lovely, the transit from the airport was NOT. I placed my backpack into the trunk as we had a shared van and was told to leave it there. Without asking me, the took my backpack and decided they were going to place it on...
