A Pleasant hotel on the lake. The rooms aren’t luxury by any means but they are comfy, there is hot water some of the time and free WiFi. Breakfast choice is from half dozen set menus. The chili omelets were good and the juice was...More

Checked into this hotel for five days. Enjoyed the lake view, the location and atmosphere. However I did not enjoy the mildew and smelly room, nor lack of Internet access in the room (only had Wi-Fi in the lobby and restaurant.) The rooms were charming...More

I cannot say for certain but other hotels of the same chain definitely do take VISA so it is highly likely that they do, I just didn't notice when I was staying. I don't know what sort of rate the credit card company would give you. The local economy is mainly cash but they do not allow more than about 40 Birr to be taken out of the country so you need to estimate your expenditure accurately. My advice is take dollars/pounds/euros and change at airport and at hotels on the way round as apparently the banks are slow and bureaucratic and your time in country is more valuable than the little you could save.
