This place could not possibly be any worse. I would give it less than a zero rating if I could. It is beyond run down. Straight out of the 1970s. Cinder block walls with poor lighting made you feel like you were in a prison. Roomy are tiny and damp. Shades were broken. Beds were tilted. Moldy and stinky. Bathroom was small and dirty. Owner is also a scam artist. Called in advance for late checkout which he promised. He then backed out on the day of our check out. If it weren’t for my boyfriend, I would have forfeited the money we already spent here and moved to another location. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else!

The good: the location is great. It is right across from Fort William Henry and an easy walk to town. ...that is basically all the good there is. The bad: the rooms are DISGUSTING. You walk in and you can smell the mold and I'm 99 percent sure that they must have had some animal poop in the room we stayed in. No matter how much we aired it out, the smell of animal feces penetrates your sinuses.. There are ants everywhere, so be careful with your little toddlers on the carpet. Speaking of carpet, the carpet needs to be thrown out completely. You dont even want to step on it. The beds are horrible. We spent 4 nights and even my children's backs hurt. The air conditioning cools half the room. They put it in the stupidest location possible. Why would you not air condition the main area of the room? I dont know. Whatever. It's way too hot but go by the bathroom and you'll be nice and chilly. The bathroom is full of mold. The shower and the shower curtain smells like urine (so we decided not to use it). The parking is not good either. You can get into a spot but good luck getting back out. The lighting in the room isnt great. The breakfast consists of bagels, some pastries and fruit. You're better off eating breakfast elsewhere. Basically. Spend the extra money on somewhere you'll actually be able to enjoy. Trust me. If your family didnt have a good night of sleep, your whole trip is gonna be ruined.

The only reason I can give this place a 2/5 is because the staff was super friendly and the location is great. Other than that this place was an utter disappointment. We had lots of creepy crawlers, dirty pool, dirty room, and clogged drains. The pictures we saw on the reviews before we booked must’ve been done via some impressive photoshop work. It was an okay stay as we used it literally only to sleep, but spending any time there other than that I would advise against.

Let me begin this by saying I booked a short 4th of July getaway in late June so there weren’t many options available but looking back on it, I wish I planned more time. I understand everyone jacks up the rates especially for the holiday but for the price paid, the place did all it could. The room was dated (okay so what) but the cinder block walls dated me back to middle school. The room was pretty tight for two even with two beds and a chair and the AC which we kept on for two straight days was tolerable but never really quite “got there” if you know what I mean. The fridge and microwave were an added bonus but the place is no frills. Meaning no ice bucket (see pic as that was just a jug you had to get from the ice machine), one super small shampoo and soap bar. The bathroom which was relatively clean was super tight. Pic of wall is your toilet view (about 5 inches from your face). The outside too was standard motelish but a small table and chairs outside to overlook the parking lot and a small smoking section (aka chairs and tables on mulch). That being said they did have grills there so for a family on a budget it’s a nice touch. The owner was super nice and you can tell he wants to ensure people are served well. The breakfast which i just popped in for a sec is a grab and go but decent amount of options given the expectations. The best positive about the place is its proximity to downtown as it’s almost as good as it gets. Big plus here and the reason why it gets the 3 stars. Plus the wifi was pretty strong. Bottom line, im sure there’s worse places to stay but if you have the time and the money, go elsewhere. Im hoping the owner makes some minor updates but if ya gotta do it, book it. If you don’t then...

Me and my girlfriend cake up for a little getaway vacation, the staff were friendly but the room was not great or comfortable at all, the blankets had yellow and brown stains all over them like they were not washed, also underneath the beds near the rails for the beds were dirty filled wit dirt and full leaves, bugs were flying all over the ceiling. It was a hot day and the a.c unit was on the opposite side of the beds, couldn’t feel it at all. The bathroom was so little you touched the wall, the bathroom sink flooded the bathroom and there were ants everywhere in the bathroom all over the floors from the toilet and sink leaking. We personally will never stay here again and I will make sure to let everyone I know about the vacation we had while hear and show them the pictures we took.
