Our car had engine trouble on the way to Montreal, and upon hearing that the necessary part couldn't be delivered until the next morning, we discovered this wonderful lodge through some quick research online. The grounds and building are beautifully maintained; our room (#7) quiet, clean and comfortable; the breakfast varied and delicious; and our host very warm and personable....

We couldn't wait to go back to the Keene Valley Lodge. I wish we lived closer so we could stay more often. Great, friendly owners. Comfy, clean, cozy room. (We stayed in room 3) Quiet little town next to some great trailheads. And right on the river. I enjoyed coffee on the front porch every morning. Breakfast buffet was tasty...

We arrived sodden and laden at the front door which opened to reveal a roaring fire and comfortable living room. A galant guest guided us to our private suite at the back with it's fully equipped kitchen and dinning space as well as cozy lounge. In the morning we spied a hummingbird amidst a butterfly garden. Then we savored a...

We came to the High Peaks Wilderness on our honeymoon, but ended up hikinh out early because we were sick of all the regulations and couldn't find our hidden campsite...so we hiked out and decided to see what the town of Keene Valley had to offer, as we have never stayed as tourists. We were very impressed by the Keene...

Our recent trip to the Adirondack area was quite pleasant with a stay at Keene Valley Lodge. This B & B is situated on the main road through Keene Valley, and is convenient for guests to walk to the little country stores, to the river's edge, to the library, diner, or perhaps to some hiking trails and swimming holes. The...

We chose Keene Valley Lodge because two of its rooms have 2 single beds instead of one queen. KVL is very comfortable and hosts George and Laurie couldn't be more helpful and hospitable. Both offered superb advice about hiking trails. Our room was small but adequate with lots of handy hooks for clothes and packs. My bed was very, very...

This lodge is located near one of the ACA bicycle touring routes. It was a welcome respite from tent camping for my husband. The room we had, the Beede Suite, was very nice and was large enough to accommodate a whole bicycle team. My husband and I enjoyed it just for the two of us, but it could have been...

This lodge is located right by cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and downhill skiing. It is only about a 10 minute drive to Lake Placid. The house is very large and really comfortable to stay at. We would like to go again in the summer to do some hiking. The owner is very friendly and does a great job taking care...

Recently arranged to use Keene Valley Lodge as a stopover on our way to snowshoeing up Johns Brook in the High Peaks region of the Adirondacks. Our party of three was scheduled to meet up with the rest of our group the next afternoon at the Adirondack Mountain Club winter cabins near Johns Brook Lodge. We got a late start...

This was our first time at Keene Valley Lodge, though we have visited most of the other B&Bs in the Keene area. We found this a comfortable, welcoming place, just like home! We were in Keene to hike, and Greg and staff were incredibly accomodating, leaving us breakfast for our pre-dawn start. My favorite parts of this inn are 1)...

“We liked having space, so the one on the first floor that lets out onto the porch was our pick--had a sitting area and a bedroom along with the bathroom, and the bathroom seemed bigger than some of the others--but you really need to go through all of the available rooms to pick your fave--pluses to all of them really :)”
