Great location, 4 blocks walk from the eastern end of downtown Ithaca in a quiet neighborhood. We stayed in the Gazebo, which was a separate structure from the house and due to the COVID protocols they had in place, breakfast was brought to our room in the morning so we never saw the common areas. The night prior, we picked from a choice of breakfast items and it arrived at the specified time that morning, warm and very good.

My husband and I stayed at the Inn on Columbia from a Sunday-Tuesday during our getaway to the Finger Lakes. We decided to stay here after reading some reviews. I booked a room online, and it was the only room left. It was the pet friendly room, which looked a little smaller and we don’t have pets. After booking, I reached out to Madeline asking about any other availability, and as luck would have it-the gazebo was free! We loved the gazebo. It was cozy, bright, clean-perfect. It was separate from the main house, down a little path. The heat for the room is provided by a gas fireplace, which we loved. It was cooler the days that we visited, so we used the fireplace often! When we arrived, Madeline was so warm and welcoming. Each night we had to complete our breakfast menu choices and the time we wanted the food delivered. The breakfasts were delicious-poached eggs, yogurt and granola, and scrambled eggs with goat cheese. It was accompanied by fresh fruit, fresh baked goods, juice and coffee or tea. It felt indulgent to get such a tasty meal delivered to our room each morning. We loved staying here, and would recommend it to anyone visiting Ithaca.

A beautiful set of old homes (I stayed in the main house), 10-15 min walk to downtown Ithaca (Ithaca Commons). (10 min there; 15 min back; Ithaca is steep.) Hosts Madeline, Ken, Olive & Jasper were delightful (actually, Jasper the cat was a little standoffish but Olive the dog more than made up for that!). GREAT for kids--my granddaughters loved the common room on a rainy weekend with Ithaca's museums, etc., COVID-closed, and my hosts were very gracious about them.

We stayed in the Gazebo and loved the accommodations especially the jacuzzi as well as the heated bathroom floor. Madeline was extremely nice and very helpful during our stay. The staff was very Covid conscious and the delicious breakfasts were delivered right to our door without any contact. We would definitely stay there again and would also recommend this B&B to anyone visiting the Ithaca/finger lakes area.

My girlfriend and I wanted a long weekend trip away to the finger Lakes but also wanted to be close to great restaurants and night life. The Inn on Columbia was the perfect place to stay, in every way. From the amazing accommodations of the Carriage House, to Madeline’s incredible breakfast’s, to Kenn’s exquisite car collection, combined with access to downtown Ithaca a short walk away, this was a weekend we will always remember! Spent the days at Vineyards on Seneca and Cayuga Lakes, and the evenings at great restaurants in town. We also felt like we made new friends in Madeline and Kenn, who are the loveliest of people. We will most definitely return!

Quintessential B & B, with attention to detail. Our room was lovely, our hosts, friendly and helpful. Architecture was interesting, as well as how the entire house was decorated. Breakfasts were sublime ( lemon pancakes with strawberry compote, savory French toast, freshly baked muffins and scones). Even our dog felt comfortable! Quite clean, with Kenn and Madeline adhering to COVID guidelines. We’d definitely go back.

Our experience with the owners was excellent from beginning to end! We had called to let them know that we’d be coming in late and they kindly shared some detailed instructions on how to let ourselves into our room. The fresh baked scones and muffins each morning were delicious and came in handy while we hiked around the area. Parking was a bit difficult to find as it’s not very well lit or signed from the street. That said, there is plenty and is easy to get in and out of with an average size SUV. The room itself (Blue Room) was clean and had plenty of room. The only detractors being that it smelled slightly musty (we chalked this up to the wet fall season the NE was having), and the shower/toilet combo room may not be everyone’s cup of tea. The common areas were well beautiful and well stocked, and look like they would be a wonderful retreat from the town, especially on warm nights where you could hang out on the patio. Absolutely recommended and we will keep this in mind for future stays!

We stayed for one night after Christmas. Madeline and Ken were both very welcoming. We had our dog with us and she was welcomed and was allowed in the downstairs sitting area which was a nice place to relax. The entire place and our "pet-friendly" room was clean and well maintained. The room was comfortable, quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was great, with fresh muffins and scones, and scrambled eggs with smoked cheddar. Ken offered great advice on taking our dog for a walk to the Mulholland Wildflower preserve. It was wonderful to get out and walk around and our dog had a great time.   Thank you Madeline and Ken - we will definitely be back when we are in the area!!

We loved our stay at the Inn. When we arrived we were upgraded to a bigger room. The Inn is beautifully decorated and has very modern amenities. It felt like home but better. The owners were accessible and the rooms were clean. I would highly recommend the Inn.

Recently took a pleasure trip for a weekend in Ithaca NY and of course used TripAdvisor to find a place to stay. We not disappointed The Inn on Columbia was a B&B that was walking distance from downtown. We met the owners at sign in and they were wonderful and friendly and very informative. We got some great ideas for places to eat and places to visit which all turned out to be spot on. They actually own a few houses in the area so we ed at one just a couple of blocks away. House was clean and parking was great Room was everything advertised and very we set up and clean There was a pretty much full kitchen in the place if you wanted to use it. We had free breakfast delivered each day and it was very good We would highly recommend this place and will go back again
