Economy Inn is an unapologetic budget property, and I'm extremely satisfied with my stay. I paid less than half the going rate at the budget chains (Hampton Inn, Super 8), and the room was dated but clean (with daily room cleanings that are no longer offered at the chains!), and included a microwave and small fridge with freezer. The shower fixture and TV were modern, as was the AC/heater (which was admittedly, as some reviewers have noted, not intuitive to operate). The single-bed room was large enough to spread out in (I used half the room as without space), with a functional workspace. I did not ask about the WiFi; my data service inside the room was suboptimal but good enough for a few hours a day of Zoom meetings. The presence of lots of outlets was a nice surprise. Overall I am very happy with my experience.…
Good if you are young and want to save money, but remember you get for what you pay. The position is very close to the main waterfalls, like I say you can use it just to sleep and shower nothing als..
Unexpectedly needed a room here on a busy weekend. Booked it's late afternoon and arrived in the evening The room here did just fine. Late arrival can be an issue since the office is not attended overnight
We were attending a family gathering nearby and needed a spot to sleep. We didn't require any special amenities, were delighted to find coffee and fruit available the next morning. Lots of parking space and easy access to grocery, big box stores, restaurants.
We came in with relatively low expectations given the lower end rate and initial appearance of the motel. We were pleasantly surprised to find a very clean room and comfortable bed awaited us. The owner/manager was friendly and I would highly recommend this option if you are looking for an inexpensive option and don’t plan to spend much time in your room.
My brother and I stayed here for one night in June 2019. We are senior citizens and tourists. This was the cheapest room we could find near Ithaca, where hotel prices seem unnaturally high. We searched for a room on the internet, the day before arriving, so there was little advance planning. We paid about $107 including tax. The room was okay, the beds were okay, and the room contained microwave and refrigerator. The bathroom was super-small and cramped. The free breakfast was so minimal that it was humorous: one choice of cereal, a bananna, and your choice of 4 or 5 mini muffins or donuts, and regular coffee. Nothing else! No egg, no meat, no toast, no butter, no jelly, no juice, no decaf. It was by far the most minimal free breakfast I have ever encountered in all my travels. But admittedly, it was adequate to get started on the day, even if the food on display was conserved and carefully doled-out by the proprietor, right down to the last ounce of milk. The motel is an old-style motor court, very close to the 2-lane highway, so there is road noise if you don't use air conditioning in the room. This motel is adjacent to two other motels. 5-minute drive to Ithaca. This motel did the job. It worked for us.…
The absolute worst experience in the world. Smells like urinal tabs. Stains on everything...afraid to know what they’re from. Ware two pairs of socks in the shower...filthy with mold on shower curtain. Only reason we stayed is all other hotels were booked for alumni weekend...this one is only half full...hmmm. I’d give negative stars if it was an option.
For $140.00 a nite was very disappointed, No wifi in the room, sheets were dirty, blankets smelled, and noise from the road! The bed was against the wall w/ window so to get out of bed we had to climb over the other person??? Should I go on? Never again
Hotel was clean and ready, fridge was on for my cold beer.AC worked great as a very hot humid weekend.Found out Micro wave not working.Owner brought a new one right away.About 25 min to Watkins glen and for a Race weekend prices are fair
I don't have any complain about this motel, just the wi-fi, that was really bed at room. It's simple, but it worth the price. Rooms are pretty close to the road, so it can be little bit noisy if you have difficult to sleep. For me, it was fine. They offer you coffee, bananas and donuts at breakfast. The best thing is that the Buttermilk Waterfalls are less than 1km away.
