Rita and Don are delightful hosts who welcome visitors to their beautiful organic farm located in the hills outside Ithaca. They make sure their guests feel like family, from providing advice about areas to visit over a delicious breakfast the first morning, to offering a wagon ride behind two handsome horses. The farm cottage is very spacious, well furnished and...

We spent three nights on the farm at the end of June and it was perfect! Don and Rita are such fun and accommodating hosts. We loved getting to know them and learn from their experiences over delicious food and fun days in the sun. The cottage is comfortable, private and homey with everything you need for your stay. Buttermilk...

This was romantic and homey - Don and Rita were the most congenial hosts and made us feel like part of the family. We also had our space and time alone. The farm is so charming and inviting from the horses and the hay ride to the chickens and the wonderful fresh eggs. My husband spent one day helping Don...

My family and I decided that for Christmas, we would get away from the city. We don't have a lot of money to spend, but we really wanted to feel like we "went away". We all agreed on Ithaca, NY-- a family member had done undergraduate school at Cornell and was familiar with the area. With a little research, we...

Our family, including 3 adults and 1 7-year-old tried something different for Christmas and boy, was it a treat! Rita and Don made our 3-night stay at Rosebarb truly magical, and we have been mentioning it to friends daily since. We were met with a plate of delectable cookies on our arrival, and continued to receive little touches of warmth...

Don and Rita provided an excellent oasis from the hecticness of everyday life. The tranquility of an early morning walk to the beauty of the trees and fields that surround this beautiful spot outside of Ithaca, NY. We were also able to enjoy the sites of the area visiting wineries and the Cornell orchards and campus. Our hosts made us...

This is the second summer my family stayed at RoseBarb Farm for our summer vacation week. It is also only Rita & Don's second year renting their wonderful cottage. My husband, my 3-year-old daughter, and I didn't want to leave! My daughter even asked, "Can we live here?" So saying we loved RoseBarb Farm is an understatement. Last year, I...

Everything I want of a farmland vacation: crispy clean air, fruit trees that I can eat fresh pickings immediately, rooster waking me up, coyotes howling at the moon somewhere out there in the forests, no skyscrapers in sight, jump and run with joy in the farm. The cottage is a refurbished century old chicken den done last year, good sized...

Stayed with Rita and Don, enjoying the beauty of fall in upstate NY while visiting family there in Dryden. Peaceful and serene in the crisp days of autumn, as the leaves were turning color and the local cider mills made cider and donuts. Great fun riding in the two horse oak wagon, quiet and peaceful cottage, though our visit was...

A wonderful place to stay for a mini family reunion - close to family but a nice place to get away with a great feeling of being out in the country and peacefulness. Was surprised at how content our 16-year-old daughter was while there. The pool made a big difference. Wonderful, friendly hosts. Terrific, healthy (but great-tasting) breakfast our first...
