We came up to Inlet for a quick get away and decided to stay at the Woods Inn. Definitely a place with a lot of personality and the location is perfect. But, I think it is really over priced for what they offer, the rooms are are a disappointment considering they ask for a premium price for the suite. I... More

Beautiful location, but needs lots of loving care and updates. After summer, we assume the staff was cut way back. It was obvious the room needed extra cleaning. We enjoyed the outdoors though. The owner is pleasant, enough.

My husband and I really enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Woods Inn. It's such a picturesque place with lots of history and located right on Fourth Lake. We had a lovely, good-sized, Adirondack-style room with a jacuzzi, sitting area, and very nice partial lake view. It was on the 3rd floor, so you had to hike up the... More

While many on here sing the praises of The Woods Inn I am not one of them. We chose this place because of the reviews. I am not one to disagree and I saw the Tripadvisor award on the way in, but I think that was for the restaurant. First the good. It is a beautiful location on Fourth Lake,... More

I so sorry your stay did not meet your expectations. Thank you for bringing to our attention the spot on the ceiling I have instructed our maintenance staff to take care of it immediately. The Woods Inn staff prides itself on offering a true 1897 (but with very modern bath facilities for each room), Adirondack lakeside inn experience. As you... More

Rustic inn on Fourth Lake. Great lake views. Wrap around porch, dock and outside adirondack chairs. Small quaint rooms with adirondack furnishings. Friendly staff. Good food in the dining room. Within walking distance of Inlet, NY.

We managed to snag "The Treehouse" room, one of the two with a lake view and a private balcony, because we went for a weekday, rather than weekend stay. The inn is beautiful and impressive, with some gorgeous tin ceilings and antique furniture, as well as rustic Adirondack-style furniture in our room. Our room was nicely sized and contained a... We stayed at The Lakeview Burklyn Cottage this past weekend... Beautiful!!! It's recently remodeled! Downstairs has a living room, small kitchen (w/ full size fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster oven, Keurig w/o k-cups), full bathroom, and Master Bedroom. Upstairs has an additional bedroom with a set of bunk beds and a full sized bed. The cottage has it's own private dock space... More

Overall underwhelming experience and checked out a day earlier. From the start the staff at the desk couldn't find my name for a bit for the reservation that day. We got up to our room and it was a bit warm on the "3rd" floor but if you were in the fire service 4 flights is the fourth floor. The... More

My husband and I stayed here several weeks ago for a wedding. We booked a room on the 3rd floor. The Inn is very old and does not operate with Air Conditioning. It was pleasantly windy enough to get a good breeze going in the room with the window and door open, but it would be very hot and stuffy... More

What a great place to spend any time of the year. Everyone at the Woods Inn were great. The new owners are great folks to work with as was the rest of the staff. We had a room overlooking the lake and really enjoyed it. The food as always was great!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A restored turn of the century inn with tavern and restaurant. Situated on Fourth Lake in Inlet with amazing Adirondack views. This is an award - winning historic property we designed to be a true Adirondack experience. The decor is meant to be campy shabby - chic. While we have added the modern conveniences that we think were lacking in the past century, we have tried to create a less stressful mountain environment that brings back another time. ... more   less
