My girlfriend and I stayed one night and absolutely loved it. It's a short walk from where most of the restaurants and shops are. The room was clean, comfy, and nice. At breakfast, I ate some of the finest eggs I've ever had.

We had the pleasure of staying at Hudson City B&B for a friend's wedding nearby. How lucky we are to have met the friendly and conscientious Barry, our attentive (but NOT overbearing) host. We have stayed at a lot of B&Bs and I have never had such a relaxing, comfortable stay. From the moment we walked through the door, it...

We were very happy with the accommodations. The room was very comfortable and included the little extras. Barry is a great host, he has varied interests and is keen on learning about you if you care to share. The coffee and omelets were delicious, wish we had tried the waffles because they looked wonderful. It was a beautiful wedding weekend,...

My husband and I had a wedding in Hudson, NY on Sunday of Labor Day weekend and decided to make it a 3-day mini vacation. While most of the guests stayed at accommodations suggested by the wedding couple, we decided to search out our own and we couldn't be more pleased with our decision. The Hudson City B&B is charming,...

Barry Butterfield (the innkeeper) is the kindest, most interesting B&B owner I have ever met. He can come across as scatterbrained or disorganized but mostly because he is thinking about a million interesting things and also trying to make all of his guests as comfortable as possible. He asks a lot of questions about your preferences (in food, etc.) when...

Unusually for us, my wife and I disagree on this place. I found it amusingly cluttered with Barry's odd and interesting collections, nicely seedy but clean and comfortable and quite quiet. My wife found it cluttered and messy, Barry friendly but distant, quite worn and in need of upstairs scraping/painting and was kept awake by the a/c unit (I slept...

We were disappointed in out stay. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean however the entire place needed to be tidied. Dead flowers adorned the coffee table, old newspaper lay on the porch and the kitchen needed a thorough scrub.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2-night stay with our small, well-behaved dog. Barry was very kind & accommodating. We had some great conversations & he suggested many great local destinations to visit during our stay. The long, traditional Main Street is easily within walking distance & hosts many antique shops & delicious restaurants. We love Hudson, NY & would love to...

My daughter and I highly recommend this charming Inn, where we were very comfortable and well cared for, for four days. The location is ideal, on a quiet street lined with lovely homes, near the River and picturesque train station, but also just a three block walk to the main street with excellent restaurants and shops. Breakfasts and travel information...

We have to thank Barry for making this stay enjoyable. Barry is manager, cook, host and general factotum. His suggestions for eating well were right on. The B&B itself is comfortable, sort of funky, like staying at your once-wealthy old aunt's, if you know what I mean. Our large room was bright, cheerful, tho' the windows were problematical--to open them...
