Well out in the wilds, but well worth a stay. Good food, good accommodation in a half tent, with tea maker but no fridge. Excellently situated, we could sit on our balcony and gaze over the valley below. We took the drive to see the desert adapted elephants (at very close range). Some tents have views, ours, number 4 did....

The accommodation is spacious (stayed in a view room/tent. We had room 1 view of the valley, plenty of room and very comfortable, with outside private secluded verandah. Enjoyed sundowners both evenings a great way to view sunset and catch up with others re: stories. Had a great guide (Borden) for the early start to find desert elephants, saw a...

Mowani Mountain Camp has a camping site which we discovered by chance after very long drive from Purros. It is very well maintained camping site with one of the most astonishing and dramatic scenery I saw in Namibia. Lodge area looks gorgeous. The staff was very helpful, they managed to find for us a phone number we needed. Recommended!

We stayed here during our 20 day excursion of Namibia. Of the 9 lodges we stayed at this was the only one where we were not greeted by the manager during our 3 night stay, and felt it was impersonal. It was like you were staying at a large hotel. Yes the rooms and the location is exceptional. The food...

Finished at Mowani Mountain Camp camping by coincidence. It was getting late and we needed a place to stop for the might. What a find! The camping area is very secluded, set amidst secular stones and with a stunning view over the valley. Get up early (like always in Namibia :-), sip at your tee whilst the sun is rising...

Beautiful spacious rooms, the views are gorgeous and service and staff attention is very good. The dinner menu was adequate, but not memorable. Breakfast was much better Make sure to experience the sunset from the view point and have sundowner drinks, the starry night sky at Mowani was amazing.

We decided to visit Namiba as a stopover after travelling for near on 2 months. We couldnt have picked a better spot. The moment we arrived we were greeted by the day manager and served a beautiful refreshing drink after a long drive. From there this level of service continued till the moment we left. We stayed in the suite...

Mowani Mountain Camp is located in a desert with desert-adapted animals, many rock engravings, and volcanic rock. The rooms are domes set so they almost disappear among very large rocks. The restaurant and lounge are set beside a small watersource that is constantly visited by a wide variety of birds. Staff were very helpful, even sweeping the road dust off...

Great lodge built among big rocks with chalets which have canvas sides and wall to wall zip up fly screens, are comfortable and clean. This luxury (for a bush camp) accomodation overlooking the plains and boulders of Damaraland unfortunately has no WiFi. There is a small not heated pool, may be great in summer but is definitely cold in June....

We stayed in some fantastic accommodation during our trip around Namibia but this camp was our absolute favourite. The situation is stunning, hidden away amongst the beautiful red rocks. The architecture is sympathetic to the landscape and the rooms stunning. We were given a mini-suite which felt super-luxurious and was beautifully furnished. The outdoor bathroom was a real treat. The...
