A friend of mine recommended we stay here after his visit last summer, so we booked in for a few nights in the middle of August. We were surprised how busy it was, seemed like a travellers hotspot but its clear to see why - the position is brilliant, amazing access to the lake and free use of kayaks, paddle...

I have been going to Mayoka for 6yrs now and as always the owners and the staff are very friendly and very helpful. Mayoka has a very welcoming vibe, no matter who you are of where you're from. The rooms are lovely, some have been renovated adding a colourful touch. The food is delicious. I had food poisoning after eating...

There are really beautiful views of the bay from the waterfront chalets. Internally they are fine - no frills, but lots of character.Mine had a cute little balcony with couple of chairs from where to watch the locals in their dugout canoes. The buildings are attractively terraced up the side of a steep cliff, so there are many many steps,...

Its been a long time since I stayed here (2002ish for about a month), It was a great experience and I dream of going back and spending a bit of time relaxing here with my family. The Lake is amazing, I loved hearing the sound of the water and swimming each morning. I'd highly Recomend this piece of paradise.

Mixed feelings here, we stayed for a few nights and then moved on, however still found ourselves coming back to this place because of the wonderful people it attracts. You can have a lot of fun here. This place is glorified camping, as long as you don't mind the bugs and tight spaces you will thrive as you can't quite...

I stayed at Mayoka Village lodge whilst on the visit to Nkhata Bay. It's nice, many good things and some bad ones. The accommodation buildings are beautifully scattered over the side of the hill overlooking this small bay; it has its own access to the lake; the sound of water is always there; the views are great; the food is...

This guest house is a lovely place, has a great vibe and is a gathering place thanks to its BBQ nights. It is very clean and has lovely rooms with terraces and hidden places to sunbathe. It would just need a little maintenance in the rooms. Some of my windows wouldn't close at night, unfortunately I don't remember the cabin...

We were recommended by a friend, and we're not disappointed, from even before we arrived. The owner, Katherine, was in contact with us before we arrived, and provided us with useful information about getting there. When we did arrive, we were greater warmly and upgraded to a beautiful chalet near the water, as it was low season. The room was...

The place, the staff, the location, the view, the lake… They’re all lovely! Because of my longer stay in Nkatha bay (it’s so beautiful) and I my terrible low low budget I couldn’t stay here longer unfortunately. However, I figured you could camp next door for a bit cheaper, but the services are also lower. Still, both of them are...
