A well-maintained, delightful, colonial-period bed and breakfast in a quiet, beautiful streamside location. The room was delightful...small as per the period. Breakfast was not of many choices...perhaps because of the holiday deluge of guests.

Robin is a great host. We stayed in her lovely home over the new year's weekend and really were whisked away into winder wonderland. Loved every bit of it. Great location, great host and ideal for short hikes, ice skating etc.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay. Robyn was incredibly kind and generous as a host. Breakfast was delicious and we loved chatting with Robyn each morning. The home is so charming with beautiful antique details and decorations. We adored our room and felt like we were sleeping inside a gingerbread house. We fell asleep each night to the...

We loved this unique, lovely place. We found our room to be very charming with lots of wood elements fashioned in an authentically rustic, yet artistic fashion. The bed was very comfortable and the bonus was the river which ran just past our outdoor porch. Robin, the hostess, was a delight and had a wonderful sense of humor. I also...

My sister and I stayed 1 night during an antique shopping getaway. We were very surprised when Robyn announced only a continental breakfast would be served. At this price point we have always had either cook to order breakfasts or multi course with hot selections. Store bought Yogurt, fruit, bread and granola was left in the barn for us. Hairs...

The other other guests staying that weekend were very happy with their stay. And texted me as they left to tell me so. I am so sorry that this guest was so unhappy. The reason for my absence was a herniated disk and an absent housekeeper! We are trying the more scaled down breakfast this winter as so many guests...

Was real excited, never been to a B&B before...after visiting this one...I will probably not go to another one. My room was musty, the grounds looked overgrown and unkept. There is a difference between rustic and unkept. The hospitality of the owners was sub par. There was no common area, just your room....was very disappointed....right off main highway...all night long, constant...

Last weekend, my husband and I arrived late in a Friday night rainstorm but the owner nicely left us a key and had our room ready with the AC on. Our lovely canopy bedroom (Room 1 upstairs) had such a welcoming space, with a large well-appointed bathroom, that we were comfortable immediately. Next morning we walked over to the Stone...

My son (13 yrs old) and I were guest and found this hidden treasure. The owner (Robyn) and assistant (Esther) were the nicest people. The breakfast every morning was amazing. As you walk into the main house for breakfast you will be greeted by Ms. Lily (PUG) and Mr. Sam (yellow lab). The rooms are clean with an amazing view...

We travel from Southern New Jersey for a wedding. I search trip advisory and came upon the Captain Schoonmaker's B&B. It had great reviews and I have learned to trust Trip Advisor. The site didn't disappoint. We had a great stay! We stayed in the Red Barn room 3. I love the rustic feel of the room, listening to the...

Thank you so much! You were wonderful guests!

My wife and I found Schoonmaker's to be charming, intimate and quite competitively priced. The room we stayed in (on the second floor) had a beautiful view from the deck of the babbling brook below. The bathroom, although small, was in good condition and all toiletries were provided. Some negative reviews have noted the thinness of the walls. Honestly, if...
