The hotel staff was not very caring or did not seem very nice to me and my family, and my particular "room" was not clean and the bathroom towels were stained. Not a recommended hotel to stay at. The only good thing was the breathtaking views.

A search of our guest name and address database indicates that we have only ever had 2 Lodge guest rooms rented to guests from Nevada (a very large state with a very small population), both were in 2009. Our staff is prized for their cheerful and attentive guest relations and customer service. Our on-site commercial laundry produces fresh clean linens...

The location of this hotel is outstanding for Dreamspark. Nice setting and pretty hotel. Rooms are clean and good size. Overall staff was very nice. One of the owners Steve is very odd!!! and can be extremely rude. Not at all happy about baseball families staying at the lodge. Breakfast is simple but nice. Great Coffee Pool is ice cold...

This hotel was great. More like a bed and breakfast with the personal attention. It was clean and well amintained. Beautiful views and a wonderful little lobby. Nice big areas for the kids to play. We really loved it.

We came to August Lodge during the "off season." Because of this and the fact that Cooperstown had a ton of snow, there wasn't too much to do at the lodge. We knew this going in and had absolutley no issue with this. The owner, Steve was more that helpful, checking in with us and making sure we didn't need...

The August Lodge was a really nice place to stay. We stayed in the Abe Lincoln room, which was very clean. The amenities included heat from the ground up, additional heater/cooler, kitchenette, Finnish Flat Screen and a back door leading directly to the outdoor pool and trails. The Lodge is also close to everything. One easy ride down Rte 28...

This was such a wonderful place to stay! The room was spotless and well appointed. The view was spectacular! Can't wait to return with our family and enjoy the amenities available at the August Lodge! Couldn't believe how great the owner Steve was and the great tips he gave us about the local area and restaurants. This was a great...

Kudos to August Lodge! My husband and I, along with our two children booked a stay at the August Lodge on the recommendation of friends during a family trip to the Cooperstown area. Our friends had told us some of what to expect, but we had no idea how truly unique this lodge is. Spacious and immaculate rooms, with absolutely...

The view is excellent, the facility is beautiful, but that's it. The owners do not understand that their business is in the HOSPITALITY industry. The girl at the counter was nice, but both my wife and sister in law got verbally abused by the owner for having the car stop by their room to unload a lot of luggage...in front...

Off season, this property was very quiet, extremely clean, and perfectly maintained. Rates were typical for Cooperstown hotels of this quality, but the site is isolated from the town, offering hiking trails, lovely vistas, and a friendly owner. The provided breakfast could be much more ambitious and varied, but the individually brewed coffee was of high quality.
