Everything is relative. If Hancock were a resort town or otherwise popular destination, this place might rate 2 or 3 stars. But it's probably one of the best places for miles around. Located in downtown Hancock, it's centrally located. Then again, that's not saying much since there's not much to do in downtown Hancock. At check-in, the staff were friendly...

Rooms clean, comfortable, ours had a ceiling fan, which I loved. We didn't need to use the air conditioner. We were on 2nd floor which was nice because we could take the stairs and not have to wait for the elevator. Free breakfast for guests was good. My burger for supper was excellent! My hubby not as thrilled with his...

we just re-visited the Hancock House after a few years, and its still the BEST Hotel for miles around. The staff are friendly and helpful, the Hotel is clean and the rooms are comfy.....ask for a room with a balcony, sit out and people watch. The breakfasts are soooo good and dinner in the bar was perfect. We all enjoyed...

This is a very pleasant and comfortable spot. Accessible to area attractions. The restaurant offers good cooking and breakfast is included. The town is very quiet and the hotel is just minutes away from Delaware River fishing. If you are a fly fishing enthusiast, the famous Border Waters shop is just down the street.

In an area where accommodations are scarce, Hancock House Hotel is a real find. The rooms are large and comfortable, and the bathrooms are extremely clean and well-planned. Everyone on the staff was more than pleasant and helpful. A real plus is the dining room, where a light dinner is available, and the tap room, which looks locally popular. A...

I was a little hesitant on booking a room at the Hancock house for Friday aug 14th because I was going to see Lynyrd Skynyrd at Bethel Woods and this hotel was one of the only places that still had availability (which made me think why is it the only one with availability and a GREAT price??) but I gave...

We booked into this hotel for one night and had requested a triple room (double and single). Originally the hotel could only offer a double with 'cot' bed - a full size single but roll-away type. However a couple of days before our stay they contacted us to say they had a room with double queen beds for us. The...

I've been through this area (including northeastern PA, which is a 5 min drive away) many times on business and there arent really many decent hotel options, but this time I found a good one! It reminded me a bit of a New England in. The rooms were modern yet quaint. My room had a balcony overlooking the main street...

Yes, we did get there pretty late, but still...first, a nonsmoking hotel should not smell like smoke and the reception guy should for sure not stink of ciggies. Next, we got a room which we were told had a king bed...nope, baely a queen and barely comfortable. So we pull out the sofa bed since the bed is tiny and...

This is a very clean, friendly and very helpful hotel. Our room was very spacious and we had a balcony that over looked main street. Rosie at the front desk was very sweet and kind. The bartenders did a great job with service with a smile. It was my birthday and I enjoyed sitting on the front porch watching the...
