Great self catering camp with excellent staff. We stayed in the North Camp which is well laid out and has everything you need to "glamp". Whilst April is not the best time to see game, we were able to explore this area of the park for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

We have been to this camp at least 5 times and are planning another 2 trips this year. We have stayed in both North and South camps both are excellent. The beds are comfortable, outside showers hot - you can watch the game whilst bathing. You can hear the ellies and hippos at night from the dam up the road.

Great location and good area for game viewing - excellent bird life in vlei. Masuma pan & Shumba pan are near by and very good. Access roads in good condition. Really well kitted out kitchen with excellent fridges & freezer (made ice) and very helpful staff. Game viewing would be better in winter months but different feel to be in...

Kapula is a kind of place you are not sure whether you should write a review or not? If you write the truth everybody will know about that treasure and it will be difficult to get free room there in the future ;-) We spent 9 unforgettable days and nights in Kapula in September 2016: 4 in South Camp and...

We booked half of North Camp for three nights and during October a fourth night is added as bonus. The first night we shared the camp with guests but for the rest of the time we had the entire camp to ourselves. There is really everything and one only has to take drinks and food. Paul assisted with everything from...

A long way to travel but worth every kilometer! Platform en suite tents very comfortable and thoughtfully appointed with your own piece of the African bush/animals within a stonesthrow in front of your private deck. Lovely kitchen/lounge/dining area on elevated deck for chilling with friends. Fireside evenings around Mopaniwood fire is hard to beat.

We spent 7 nights of blissful solitude in the wonderfully maintained south camp. William and Lucky took care of our needs and kept the camp in tip top shape. We are a family of 4 with two girls 12 and 14, they were apprehensive as it was their first experience of the bush and ‘open’ camping. Now that we are...

We have only the highest praise for the level of accommodation, the game viewing and the excellent service by on-site employees at Kapula. We were invited by friends who have time-share and each of four couples occupied a vast and comfortable tent with all amenities (including inside and outside showers) overlooking the Kapula Vlei. Therefore one could sit quietly watching...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Kapula is a game viewing paradise during the dry season where guests can see vast herds of elephant and buffalo in addition to plain game, and hear the lions roar at night. The Kapula concession consists of two camps: North Camp with four 2-bed luxury safari tents on raised wooden decks with en-suite bathrooms and additional outside showers, self-catering; and South Camp with four 2-bed safari tents, on concrete slabs on the ground with en-suite bathrooms, self-catering. We prefer to keep the camps small and intimate. There is no 24 hour standby electricity at Kapula and all rooms’ electrical requirements are solar-generated. Guests are therefore not able to use hairdryers, kettles etc. in the rooms. The communal main building does have facilities for charging camera batteries, cell phone batteries etc. Both camps have a kitchen equipped with all the necessities. ... more   less
