Makalolo Plains camp is very nice. The tents & bathrooms are almost brand new & super clean. The swimming pool is a hoot. The only problem with the pool is the elephant like to drink it dry once in awhile. The food was really good and the staff were a lot of fun.

An enjoyable three days during our OAT Ultimate Africa trip. Comfortable tents with nice "indoor" bathrooms, but remember that there is no heating and only solar lighting, so it is a bit rustic and can get cold getting in and out of that warm, cozy bed. Staff is very nice and works hard to please. Food pretty tasty. Very nice...

I think we liked this camp the best for overall experience. The drive in we saw as much game as we did the rest of the time. Amazing elephants and giraffes. The location and beauty of this camp is terrific. On our first night the elephants drank from the pool while my daughter lounged on the beds near the pool....

Little Makalolo is a wonderful small camp with the most fabulous people who run it! "B" and Themba along with Edwin and Eddie and all the others made this camp a home for 3 days! We saw so much game and loved Themba as our guide...really a bummer getting up in 40 degree mornings, but well worth it after the...

This camp is in a beautiful location overlooking a water hole on the plains. Tons of wildlife nearby. One night a leopard came down to drink at the water hole and then walked through camp while we were having dinner. The staff was friendly and helpful and the food excellent. Great drivers as well.

Our fourth and final OATS tent camp did not disappoint. By now, we were seasoned Land Rover riders so settled in to the lengthy ride from the airport and gratefully donned much-needed rain ponchos. We were greeted to elevated walkways, magnificent views, lovely cabins, a stunning dining room and extremely competent staff. Too much food and too often? Maybe, but...

An extra highlight of our 3-night stay was watching an elephant and her calf, after dusk, drinking from the camp's pool in which I had been swimming earlier that afternoon - magical! The camp was very clean, the staff superb and the food was good. We particularly liked the chalets being elevated from the ground, with walkways. The one let-down...

A wonderful camp where you can see lots of animals coming and going to the waterhole directly in front of the dining hall. The tents are comfortable with electricity, bathroom with hot water, even an outdoor shower for added fun. The staff are friendly and helpful, the guides are excellent, getting to within feet of lions and other animals. The...

We stayed here as part of an Overseas Adventure Trip and loved it. It was our final camp and each one kept getting better. The rooms were great and well maintained. Plenty of light and hot water. The real benefit of a good camp is the staff which was superb from the cleaners, to the chefs, and especially the guides...

Every place we stayed had good food, fine accommodations and super guides, but this one had added touches of steps for the jeep climb and sherry on return. Most interesting wildlife we saw. Try to avoid late October early Nov. heat spells. It was over 100 f every day.
