Visited for lunch on a very rainy day so I didn't have the opportunity to walk the grounds. Food was excellent .Service was good but not what I would expect.Am definitely going to return for dinner on a better day!

We were in Geneva, NY, for a family wedding, and we splurged to get a room at a decent small inn on the banks of Seneca Lake. The Ramada might have more rooms and a newer physical plant, but this place has gone through a few iterations on the way towards becoming a hotel -- the fingerprints of its former...

Unfortunately my wife and I only had a one day stay at this first class hotel. The moment you drive in you feel you are somewhere special. When you are greeted at check in you can feel the professionalism of the staff. Every persons I met were very professional and pleasant. The 1 bedroom suite was beautiful with a great...

The hotel is situated on the north end of beautiful Seneca Lake. The view of the lake from the hotel is wonderful and you can book a room with this lake view.the grounds are gorgeous with perfect manicured landscaping. Dining on the patio overlooking the grounds and lake is divine. The restaurant is excellent and recommend doing the candlelight dinner...

My husband and I stayed here few nights to get away from the city. It was far but worth it. It's quite beautiful. The grounds are immaculate with lovely gardens and statues. Right on the lake. There were lots of leisure activities like bike riding, bocce, badminton. But we found two adirondack chairs overlooking the lake, opened a bottle of...

We stayed here for two nights while touring the wine trails and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is beautiful, full of period details such as high ceilings, gorgeous moldings, etc. We had a small suite on the first floor which was more than adequate for the two of us. The grounds are lovely and very European with the small...

Staying here is magical. The building and the grounds are breath taking. You feel as if you are in the Italian lake country. The views are majestic. However the rooms are not. My room did not have any antique furniture and the kitchen was dated. No luxury here yet it is not inexpensive to stay here. Nice pool and friendly...

Geneva on the Lake is like a dream, the gardens are something else and the GM Bill is responsible for hedging them. Where else is the GM seen to be doing the gardening. The staff were unbelievable nothing was too much trouble. The whole big picture cannot be described but must be experienced. The food totally complemented the stay. We...

I stayed at Geneva on the Lake with 2 of my friends. The purpose of the trip was a girls weekend out of the city. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite and it was just perfect! The bathroom has a jacuzzi which was so much fun! We arrived in the afternoon. We relaxed along the water with some cocktails...

Hotel Geneva on the Lake is a beautiful, restful place that I would highly recommend. If you want to relax and enjoy the beauty of lake and sculpted grounds then this is an ideal place for you. To some of the commenters: if you want a loud bar and buffet dining, please go on a cruise and leave the rest...
