At 41 Lakefront Hotel, the modern and stylish atmosphere, often accentuated by live music, has garnered positive attention, creating a vibrant social scene that many guests enjoy. While the hotel boasts scenic lake views and a prime location near local attractions, travelers have mixed feelings about its value, with some criticizing the high costs and additional fees. Service quality appears to fluctuate, with reports of both commendable staff and disappointing unresponsiveness. Room cleanliness and amenities, such as the pool and coffee facilities, have room for improvement according to some guests.

We had a lakeside room - no balcony views at this hotel . Lakeside has 2 small windows to view lake. Restaurant & bar closed Monday and Tuesday - we were not informed of this and I called 5 days ago to inquire about food services at hotel . Due to covid : Fitness center is closed. No housekeeping but they supply fresh towels . We brought our own towels, alcohol wipes and alcohol spray just to feel comfortable although the hotel is well equipped with sanitizers all even in the elevators! Room amenities: Microwave, mini fridge, iron, coffeemaker, shampoo, etc and blow dryer supplied. We walked along the nicely paved path around the lake and the center of town is within short walk

This location on beautiful Sneca Lake is only matched by Como and Maggiore in Northern Italy! BUT.....in this entire hotel there is not one room with a BALCONY!!! Incredibly poor planning. The windows are double hung square bargain type in every room and one has to walk up to the window to see the lake. Very disappointing.
Also, this location is short staffed and while room service is listed as an amenity I was asked to pick up our breakfast order 😕 The in house phone lines were a rapid busy tone in the am and I needed to contact the front desk via my Phone using an outside line at 8am...very mediocre and far from relaxing stay! I will return ONLY for the magnificent Martini I enjoyed at the Bar!!

My wife and I, along with another couple, spent a long weekend in the Finger Lakes. Sort of a get away while practicing social distancing. The Hotel is undergoing refurbishment so it has some disarray, but was fine over all. The rooms seem a little tired, but the bathroom was renovated. The Mirror is a nice feature, but the shower stall leaks like a sieve when being used. the bed seemed to be a bit tired and not up to the standard at other hotels. The long bench along the wall was basically useless, other than as a place to put luggage and boxes of wine. The TV was large.

There is a notice when you check in that they are not permitted to provide maid service during your stay so that is a bit of a downer. One of the great perks when in a hotel is clean towels every day. Oh, well. We managed.

We were in room 406. The major problem is there is a set of fire doors right outside the room and every time someone went through them, especially late at night or early morning, they slammed. When I spoke to Ankel ( I think that was the gentlemen at the front desk) he said he could move us later in the day or prop the doors open. I said that would be fine and the door slamming was alleviated.

The hotel is in a great location, but next time, it is not absolute we would stay there again. It would depend on price.

I had booked a 2 night stay here over the July 4th weekend.
We arrived on Friday and tried to check in at around 3.15. The man on the desk said our room wasn’t ready yet and come back at 4pm. This is fair enough as the check in is 4pm but we had been in the sun all day and would have expected him to say “why don’t you sit on our patio or in reception. We took it upon ourselves to sit in reception. One by one people came in and were allowed to check in, there were big families, people with Dogs, all walked in and got their keys no problem. At 4pm we asked again to be told no your room with a lake view isn’t ready yet, you can have a different one or wait 10 mins. 30 mins later we were handed our key. We walked passed a cleaner in the corridor and noticed she was not wearing a mask or gloves. Because of the pandemic, we had brought our own antibacterial spray and I we cleaned every surface before we settled in. The room was a little bit dated, it looked like it had been painted recently but only because there were paint spots on the furniture. The beds! The beds are very small, and I don’t understand the reasoning for it, there is room for a normal size bed that will fit adults in but they have Short narrow beds?!? They’re not very comfortable. The air conditioning unit is very loud. I don’t mind the hum of air conditioning because it drowns out any noisy neighbours but the unit in our room was ridiculously loud.
Talking of noisy neighbours, the people in the room next to ours were in and out of their room late at night and talking loudly in the corridor, then at 3.30am, our neighbour and someone from the hotel were walking the corridors having a loud conversation! This is totally unacceptable. I understand the behavior of other guests can’t be controlled but the staff should be more considerate of sleeping guests.
Needless to stay we checked out the next morning and left a day early.

This was our 1st vacation since before the pandemic and I was very happy to spend it in my happy place. My husband and I visit the Finger Lakes multiple times a year and this was our 1st time at the Ramada. Check in was quick and easy and our first night was fine. The next day we were out and about and came back to the room to find it had not been done. We called the front desk to be informed that due to CDC guidelines they were not cleaning rooms during a customer's stay. My husband and I had just spent several nights in other hotels in the area where this was not the case. I asked to speak to the manager but he/she was not there. I did speak to the head of housekeeping who was very nice. He tried to explain the policy, but I told him that no other hotels in the area were doing that. He was very apologetic and said he would make sure my room would be done the next day. I was told the manager would contact me, but he/she didn't. I told the housekeeping manager that if I had been told this at check in I never would have stayed. The Ramada took the happy out of my happy place and I will never stay there again.

The only thing saving the Ramada Plaza - Geneva Lakefront is its incredible location by Lake Seneca in Geneva, NY. I recently stayed in a lake view room with my spouse for a birthday weekend in wine country. We had been priced out of two other properties and had seriously considered the nearby Hampton Inn. We opted for the Ramada for location. Oops.

When we booked. the person on the phone noted that the indoor pool was re-opened when specifically asked. Research we are done online noted that this pool was in fact closed due to COVID-19, which was accurate. Strike One (for the lying, not the closed pool).

When we arrived, the room on the fifth floor was clean, except for a rip on the cushion of a couch that seemed like a church pew. The furniture was cheaply made, and the bed was hard as a rock, making for three very uncomfortable nights. Because of the pandemic, there was no housekeeping during this time. Strike Two,

The hotel is not only dealing with the pandemic, but is being renovated. The elevators were filthy, we had to go to the first floor for the ice machine, and most staff were not being careful about wearing masks properly. In fact, we saw housekeeping staff not wearing them at all. Strike Three.

Did we leave? No. However, we repeatedly asked the staff for help and recommendations for wine tours and taxis throughout the area. The staff is largely unhelpful and unknowledgeable, I had asked about a wine trolley tour, only to be given a blank look by a young, brunette front desk clerk. The morning we checked out, we discovered numerous pamphlets detailing such tours. I guess the clerk never saw them either. We ended up discovering quite a few things on our own.

We are eager to go back to wine country for another long weekend, but will happily take the slightly lousier view of the Hampton Inn or save our money for one of the two upscale resorts down the road, Either way, we will not be returning to this scum palace.

I almost did not book this hotel because of some of the negative reviews that were posted here. I ultimately booked this hotel because of the view of the lake and and we could walk to town and also on the great path around the lake.
Yes there is no maid service but I do believe that is the case at most hotels right now.I would rather not have anyone come in our room.
They ask that you put your trash bag in the hallway to be picked up.We were able to ask at the front desk for any items we needed. Staff was very friendly.
Our room was large and clean with a nice size window facing the lake. That view was just so beautiful in the morning with the sun rising.
I have to say that I honestly can not complain about one thing about the Ramada Plaza.

Previously my favorite hotel in Finger Lakes … 18 mos after my last stay, the quality and ambiance of the hotel has gone dramatically downhill. Building appears to be in rough condition, my room was dirty, furniture falling apart and service was non-existent. Housekeeping staff needs to be trained how to clean a room and the management needs to be replaced,

This hotel was formerly the Ramada Inn. We used to stay there every summer on our annual trip to Geneva. They changed the name and doubled the room rates but we decided to give it a go. Well, big mistake!! Dirty room, housekeeping did not make the beds they just pulled up the sheets, knob on furniture was gone, no ironing board, curtains were coming off on one side, bathroom mirror was dirty, bathroom floor was not clean, rugs were obviously not vacuumed, room safe would not work, all really disgusting and poorly maintained. The bed photos were taken after housekeeping supposedly cleaned our room. We were out all morning and got back at 2pm and the room was still dirty so I went down to the front desk to let them know our room was not cleaned because they never answered the phone. That’s what the room looked like when we got back later that night. I think “cleaning” to them is just providing clean towels and pulling up the bed sheets. We paid $400 per night and with taxes and fees it was $907 for two nights at this dump!!! And, I tried calling the front desk twice during our stay and the phone just rang and rang with no answer. Stay away from this place.

This hotel has the potential to be great, the location is wonderful! However, the price you pay for a room does NOT equal the experience.
Cons: The hotel looks like it was recently renovated, but unfortunately it looks like it was cheaply done. There are unfinished details throughout. In our room, the hot/cold water was backwards in the shower, the mattress had no cover (EWWWW) and the sheets would not stay on during the night. We would wake up in the morning lying on the bare mattress (so unsanitary). The bed was also not very comfortable. We paid extra for a 'water view' but it was obstructed by the roof and a tent sent up at the venue for weddings. Skip the extra cost and stay on the other side for cheaper. You can always walk outside to enjoy the view. There are only two elevators and the staff uses them with their cleaning carts so you may hit excessive wait times in the morning when room service is cleaning. For a $900 two day stay, I expect cleanliness, comfortable beds and excellent food.
Pros: Friendly front desk service! Very nice. Also, I was surprised they offered housekeeping each day! Rare in this day and age. Can't beat the location on the water!
The food in the restaurant was so so but EXPENSIVE.
