Not a fan. Advertised as on site...2.1 miles from main hotel.Advertised as breakfast included, breakfast was non existent although they having dining on site. Sheets were dirty, housekeeping was dispatched quickly with an apologetic bottle of wine. Stained carpets. Bed was comfortable. Price was great but considering what they offered, average.

The Living Room guest suite has no bathroom door! You have to go down a spiral staircase in the room to get to it but there is no privacy at all. For some couples this will not be a problem but we found it to be very annoying and feel like it should have been mentioned in the room description. When we asked to be moved, they had nothing available so we stayed the 2 nights and left as soon a we could.

We arrived at the house in the early afternoon to find it locked. Luckily another couple was there and they directed us to Belhust, about a mile away, which is where you get keys to the house and room. We later discovered a small sign that said to go to Belhurst for check-in without any directions. Once inside the decor and furnishings were tired. There were no breakfast facilities so it doesn't have amenities that a B&B would have. Even checking out (at Belhurst) was painful. Caveat emptor.

We booked the Lewis Suite at white springs to just get away and enjoy the jacuzzi tub and fireplaces. Upon arriving at Belhurst Castle which is the main building to check into we noticed that there was a wedding or a large party and people outside and staff with no masks. That was the first red flag during the times of covid. We got the key and headed to our room. The room was dirty...carpet had white stains all over and tub had a blue stain dripping down the side, these were our first impressions of a 400 dollar suite. Oh and the pilots on the fireplaces kept going out had to call to get one back lit. After we started unpacking we noticed that area where the ice bucket and coffee maker were had not been cleaned AT ALL. The ice bucket had dirty water in it and there was food crumbs all over the counter top ! We called the front desk and they had a rude staff member bring us some multi colored cleaning rags with no cleaning solution. My husband asked for some sort of bleach and the employee huffed and brought a bottle of a yellow colored solution. Neither of us were comfortable staying in this room. We did get offered a room but we declined and we got a credit for the room. We have stayed at white springs in the past and enjoy sitting outside in the summer at the castle but this was very disappointing especially during Covid. We just did not feel safe and for the price why should a guest be cleaning ??

Spent a few days at the “Playhouse”…a cabin that is on the property of White Springs Manor A getaway for my husband and I for my birthday Accommodations were adequate but you are pretty much on your own if that’s what you’re looking for! No wood for the fireplace! If you want typical “services” of a hotel such as the continental breakfast be prepared to travel back and forth to the castle (a mile away)We did not mind as we wanted a more private getaway The cabin was quaint, romantic however not very secluded. Be prepared for the fire whistle to go off as the firehouse is nearby. The jacuzzi tub was nice but there are no shades on the windows to give you privacy. The bathroom is not handicapped accessible which makes the shower difficult for even minor handicapped older individuals like ourselves. Was a little disappointed in the cleanliness as there was obvious mold and an off smell to the place. The beds were very comfortable with clean linens/towels and simple amenities Overall it wasn’t terrible but I’ve stayed in much nicer places for 200+ a night Also we felt we weren’t given the same courtesies that “castle” people were….When we said where we were staying, staff said “oh…why didn’t you get a room in the Vinifera?”

The place has old charm but it is dirty. The carpet has stains and the odor reminds me of my grandmother’s dirt basement in her early 1900s home. The room consists of an old metal frame bed, outdated bathroom and a few old chairs. To benefit from the amenities at the castle you need to drive about 5 minutes. The windows are old and bolted shut (fire hazard). I feel like the place has been left unattended for years and you need to check in at the castle (which is in fine print on the bottom of the email). Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere.

The White Springs Manor property is a part of the Belhurst Castle resort and they are marketed together on the BC website.

It is NOTHING like the accommodations at the Castle. It is about 2 miles from the lake in a wooded area. The rooms are old and poor; another couple in our group found a dead bat in their bathroom. Then, after changing rooms, their toilet backed up.

In fairness, after complaining, the BC folks moved us the the main building to much better rooms at a reduced rate. But the resort should stop marketing this space with the Castle until they upgrade the accommodations.

This is not your typical B&B. When you stay here you are on your own. My husband and I and some friends stayed in the off season and we were the only ones there. It was so cool to have the place to ourselves and explore and admire the architecture and history of the mansion. This is an old building and so it is not perfect. Both the rooms we stayed in were unique and interesting and you knew they had stories behind them. The isn't for people looking for perfection, but the rooms we stayed in were clean and comfortable. There were two public areas with fireplaces where we could hang out. I definitely recommend for the right guests!

This place is AWFUL. And they don’t even seem to care! Dirty carpets, stones on the patio are loose and present multiple trip hazards, bird feces on the columns, trash in the entry vestibule…etc etc on and on. They should pay YOU to stay here. I asked for a refund and they insist I didn’t return the key…why did they check me out..without a lost key charge? Sleep in your car..it’s a better nights stay! Can’t rate this a NEGATIVE 20 or I would

Room was not especially clean (dusty). Staff was fantastic. Rooms are tired and dated but spacious. Robes in room were completely worn and tattered. Good views and great location. Convenient to downtown Geneva. Updated bathroom was a plus.
