This was my wedding destination and I can't express how absolutely terrible it was. From the staff, to the food, to how they changed their hotel to an apartment complex where THE TENANTS CRASHED MY WEDDING! 0/5 stars, the owners here are absolutely appalling in their behavior and actions. Simply put, do not go here.

We recently attended a holiday party at the Finger Lakes Hotel and decided to book a room for the night. The hotel is a bit dated and run down, but our room was clean and comfy. A drawback was that every room exits directly to the outdoors, so walking in 15 degree frigid December weather to the building that held the banquet room was a bit inconvenient. Room rates were so great, that made up for any inconvenience !

Positives: location, scenic views from all rooms and ok price. Negatives: run down, dirty, thin walls, loud AC, dated, stained bedding, towel rack fell off wall, smoke filled with butts on balcony and burn marks galore. Would not go back.

The place is kind of beat up... but they have a nice bar/restaurant. If you’re looking for a really nice place to stay - don’t come here. But if you’re looking for a place to sleep just to sleep and leave, you can definitely get a room under $100.

The Finger Lakes Hotel has a beautiful ball room for weddings. They are new to big events, but learning very quickly. The food is excellent! The rooms & hotel in general are undergoing some much needed renovations. The cleaning service needs to do a better job and the front desk staff need to get a little more organized. Once everything is complete, I expect this to be a very popular venue!

We paid $200 for a "king suite with a balcony". The registration area was dark and very small. The guy at the desk wouldn't even make eye contact with us . The pro- the bedding seemed clean. The cons: the room had a bunch of odd mis matched furniture. There was one tv in what I consider the livingroom area that you could not see from either bed and none in the bedroom. The carpets were old and gross to walk on with bare feet. Everything was outdated including the drapes. The couch was so hard and small you couldn't sit on it. One of the pillows was plastic and crinkled every time you move. The bathroom was the smallest bathroom I had ever seen In a hotel. No outlets near the bed to plug in cell phones etc. There were no ceiling lights and only two lamps. One in the living area and one in one of the bedrooms! The final straw....we had a electrical power strip hanging off the side of the refrigerator with things plugged into it that I'm sure is a fire hazard. The pictures on the website can't possibly be this hotel.

The party venue is nice , food was good. Hotel rooms are terrible. Had non smoking only it wasn’t. Not clean at all. Poor fitting covers, terrible pillows, empty six pack on balcony. Owner really needs to clean and have enough people who need to clean on board, pool are was so dirty, dishes from, previous night still on table. Are looked like it never has been clean

We have stayed at this property in the past, when it was under prior management under the Travelodge banner. The new owners are definitely making much needed improvements at this time, and have a ways to still go. The room was large and very clean. It was a (rare) smoking room, but was clean to the point that you would have not known it upon walking in. They are pet friendly ($10 extra charge for pets, which is reasonable). While the room was somewhat sparsely furnished (which I'm sue will be fixed over time), everything in the room worked fine. Wifi was strong and worked flawlessly. The property shows it's age, but they are definitely working on improvements and updating. The bed were pretty new and very comfortable and linen was perfectly clean. The sliding glass door to the balcony was a welcome addition. No, it's not a 5 star property, and no one claimed it is. The staff was very friendly and helpful. But it was a nice room for the price, and we look forward to our next trip here - we will definitely be returning!

Rated a 1 because 0 is not an option. Reserved a double room for 2 nights. Arrived around 12:30 pm, clerk said it was too early to check in so we gave her our name to make sure she had our reservation and left to go exploring. Returned around 7 pm. Different male clerk. He found our reservation, sent us to a room. I opened the door and it was occupied! Back to the desk, waited awhile, gave us another key. I arrived at the room and would not open door because the windows were open and possessions were on the window sill. Went back and got him, he insisted room was unoccupied so he came with and opened door to find it occupied. We wait about another hour while he searches the computer..now it’s getting close to 10 pm when he calls his manager and suddenly has a suite he can offer us for 50% off the suite price. It’s late, we are tired, town is sold out because of the pageant at Hill Cumorrah. We take the room and plan on haggling about price in morning. The room has no lamps or ceiling lights in the bedroom, the radio, microwave, refrigerator, lamp and coffee pot are all plugged into a surge protector hitch is plugged into a four way outlet which is plugged into the wall outlet! The carpet is filthy. In fact the entire hotel is dirty. Carpets in public areas are stained, windows are dirty and doors around the handles are black! Anyway in the morning I discover that they have charged my credit card for two nights. I go to the desk and ask the girl to remove the charges. She says she can’t and the manager must do it. Says manager will be there in an hour. We wait. Lo and behold the manager is the male clerk from night before...who had to consult with his manager to get us a room. His story today is that well he is one of the managers. We do get him to agree to give us the suite for 50% off of our original room price. We cancel the night number two. I have to call a few days later because the charges are still on my credit card. Took another 5 days for them to refund me the money.

Dirty disgusting place, we stayed only because we arrived very late and there was nothing else nearby. On top of that we were charged by both hotels.com and the hotel itself. We are calling the hotel 5 days in a row, staff promises the refund but the refund never arrives. This is a scam plain and simple. During check out they say it's a policy to reserve the amount on your credit card and that it would be canceled in a few days, but eventually they charge the amount and don't return it.
