We had a wonderful stay and found it difficult to leave. This is a jewel in the Catskills. Attention to detial is remarkable and the staff couldn't do enough for us. They offered to make us a to go breakfast. Answered all our questions with professionalism and politeness. So gorgeously designed from the moment the door opens with the wave of your hand. The tone was set from the moment we walked in and were treated like royalty. We can't wait to return. Rating is off the charts
The hotel and everything in it are luxurious - the design modern, the amenities ample and top notch, and the electronics (heat, a/c, lights, outlets, etc.) smart. The heated bathroom floor was a particularly nice touch. The service was friendly and helpful. Although the computerized reservation system did not work as expected, the staff were professional in resolving any issues on the phone or in person. The food, both at the included breakfast and at the Homestead restaurant, was mixed. Some things were excellent, some mediocre, and unfortunately one terrible ( the orecchiette). But it was great to be able to eat and especially drink on premises without having to drive. The grounds were impeccable, with babbling brooks, ponds, and walkways. There was abundant wildlife - deer, families of geese and goslings, birds, and small animals. There is walking/running trail around a small lake, which was great for distance swimming. Kayaks, paddle boats, and a rowboat are also provided. I did not find the hotel overpriced. I’ve stayed in comparably appointed accommodations at twice the price. I would return in an instant if I were not half a continent away.…
This place is my number one on my list now. Everything about it is perfect! Cozy, comfortable, design is stunning, breakfast is delicious, amenities are high quality, nature is wonderful. Everything is extremely well done and maintained. Service is friendly and helpful! If I could give 10 star I would. Would love to have access to hot tub and sauna it would be a cherry on top. Thank you!
When I was a child, my father and I would often travel from Long Island to the Old Homestead and Eldred Preserve until they both closed, which was devastating to us. You can imagine my extreme delight, and disbelief, when I saw that infamous raisin bread at the table and was able to put together that my two favorite places to take trips to with my father have combined forces. All the childhood memories came pouring out over dinner. The food was incredible. Hands down one of the best meals we’ve had in recent time and maybe ever. Not exaggerating. The food was very reasonably priced and the menu had many delicious and interesting options. The ambiance also added to the lovely evening. The service by Sarah was fantastic. She was extremely attentive, and friendly. Our meal was that much more enjoyable because she was our waitress. Every member of the staff we encountered at the Bradstand, especially Marques, was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and pleasant. We are excited to plan our next trip as we will most certainly be back!…
Stayed 2 nights at the Bradstan Boutique Hotel and was overwhelmingly impressed. The hotel/resort itself is a designers buffet. The attention to detail makes me think of the John Hammond character from Jurassic Park as they 'sparred no expense'. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. That goes for anyone on the property, including the team at the restaurant. The breakfast was a culinary surprise. The chef is creative and also very friendly. The Pumpkin Spice muffin, with the billowy cream cheese topping, was the most delicious I have ever had. My waistline is happy that he switched it up for the next day. However, my taste buds were disappointed that there was not a repeat performance. Kudos to the chef! This is a hidden away jewel. The lake in the back was an amazing place to walk around at this time of the year. The room was also something special. The fact is that this is truly an amazing place. Keep in mind that you are in the middle of Sullivan County, so if you are looking for outside entertainment, you will have to travel. The people I went with shared the same thoughts. We had a plan with a show and a couple of restaurants. The resort was the perfect compliment to an amazing weekend. …
Had a stay here last summer and thought it was a nice, tranquil place. Arrived very late, and had business in the area so didn't spend a ton of time exploring the hotel amenities. Room and shower were great. Breakfast was good. With a lot of work visits in the next 8 months, figured I'd found my home away from home. Made a reservation for next visit. Realized could not go due to it being a 1 year anniv. of a painful death in our family. Called to cancel at 12 days prior to arrival. Was told 14 day minimum, or else only a 50% refund. Explained the circumstances, and that business would bring me to this area monthly over the next 8 months, one stay likely being 15 nights in a row. Could they help me out? Mgt said nope, policy is what it is. So instead of helping a guest and insuring I'd be back a ton over the next 8 months, they decided to stand firm on the policy. They'll collect 50% of my rental in lieu of a multitude of stays in the future. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face. Oh well. If that is their method of handling issues, can't imagine what would happen with an on-site issue. Will now give our business to another resort in the area.…
My family and I stayed in the lodges during a wedding weekend event, which was on site at the Eldred. The attention to detail and care for customers was evident throughout our stay at this gorgeous spot. We walked to the lake and took a boat ride, had complementary rides in golf carts whenever we needed assistance, enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi, and ate in the restaurant for every meal. The Bradstan is not only beautiful, it is packed with opportunities for fun and relaxation at every turn.
From check in to check out...everything was top notch...The Bradstan boutique hotel thought of everything.... From the decor to the attentive staff...everything was truly amazing. Thank you Scott (General Manager) for providing me with everything I needed.
The Eldred Preserve was well beyond my expectations. The buildings on the grounds blended beautifully with the surrounding landscape. The design of the Preserve was well planned creating a relaxing and peaceful environment. A must visit resort. Well worth the price of a visit.
We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were gorgeous. The grounds were immaculate. The lake was private and fun. Highly recommend For either a short stay as a couple or even a longer stay with a family.
