I've experienced the great hospitality and food of the owner of this unique guest house in East Hampton, NY. She's a warm soul. Her hospitality is like that of a southerner and her cooking schools will amaze you.

I decided to go on a spontaneous trip to the Hamptons and immediately began to look for a place to stay when I found the "Bend in the Road Guest House". I called Carolyn and from the jump I knew that her guest house would be it. I could tell from that phone conversation that she would be a great...

We love the place. It is guest house, not a B&B but you will feel like you are at home without the chores. Great space, simple but inviting. The pool is quiet and relaxing. perfect location to visit the area - only 15min to Mountauk, with traffic. Carolyn is so easy going, friendly but also accommodating without being intrusive. Unique...

Six of us went out to East Hampton for July 4th weekend to celebrate my husband's 40th Birthday. After doing the research online, we found the Bend in the Road Guest House. The price was right and we booked. LGBT-Friendly and very welcoming. If you're familiar with the Hamptons and it's lavish reputation, you're also familiar with the very high...

Carolyn was the most accommodating, genuine, and wonderful host one could imagine. We were greeted with a glass of wine and talked about dog rescuing, eclectic decorating, and she even recommended a dinner spot for us and the dog! the dinner was definitely something to remember as well. We said our goodbyes while our dog ran around with all her...

Carolyn is a great host with fantastic recommendations on where to eat and hit the beach! The house is centrally located - close to East Hampton's town center and also Amagansett. I was able to ride my bike every where avoiding all traffic safely. Room was spacious, private and quiet. All the comforts of home. Looking forward to returning next...

I am shocked to read the post by the traveler who visited this delightful B&B. My husband and I stayed here for two glorious nights in July 2014 as well. Though I concur that the place is not like a hotel, the room was clean and charming. We stayed in the large room in the back and could not have...

Amy, many thanks for your kind review -- I love the "diamond in the rough" part! It was a pleasure having you here and also a pleasure learning how to make your fabulous ginger beer drink. What a great time we all had -- am so looking forward to your next journey Eastward! Carolyn

I recently returned to Bend in the Road Guesthouse for the third time. Having read the prior review, I am in total shock. This is a country home full of character and charm. It is not a Motel 6. The Guesthouse is clean, comfortable, and delightful, filled with art and antiques. Carolyn, the proprietor, goes out of her way to...

I wNted my trip to East Hampton to be away from the hamptons glam and glitz and that's exactly what I got. The house is modest, cute and real. The rooms are ample. (I liked the Ivy room best). The grounds are big and very dog-friendly. The set-up allows for plenty of privacy if desired. Carolyn is a charming host...
