If you are searching for a beautiful location in the Hamptons, The 1770 House comes with my wholesome recommendation. My family and I had spent the weekend before at the period hotel, The Jeffersons, in Washington DC and fully expected that experience to be the highlight of our visit to the US. In the event, the first class residency, great...

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay in Room 1. It is a large, light room with a wooden wall containing a gas fireplace and a large tv. The bathroom is all marble and has a huge shower with a large rain head. The furniture is very comfortable and traditional. Breakfast includes fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, baked goods, bagels, smoked...

LOVE this place. It's in the center of East Hampton Village and many things to do. Great possibilities for shopping and museum-hopping... The restaurant is great both upstairs and in their Tavern (which has a working fireplace in winter). The service is fantastic also. Top notch!

We booked from Australia, and were not disappointed. Yes, against the Aust dollar, the 1770 house is expensive, especially as we don't have the extra room taxes and added gratuities, but such a unique and special experience, it's well worth it. Firstly, greeted by Ashly and Randye, who from our email exchanges, we felt like we already knew. The house is...

Terribly disappointing experience. Horrible welcome and ambiance upon arrival. Food was average.. Could cook better at home myself. Appetizer was local peaches with ham and salad... Thrown on a plate, peaches cut raggedly and salad tasted not fresh. Main courses sword fish and lamb - again below par. No seasonal deserts on the desert menu. Waitresses wearing nike running leggings...

We came here last summer for dinner (which was amazing) and decided to come back for a romantic getaway and stay for one night. Everything was perfect. The staff could not have been nicer, more professional or been more helpful. Our room was upstairs and facing the street. The room was very nice with great bedding and very well appointed....

Wow! This fantastic hotel combines elegance, informality, a beautiful environment (including a fantastic outdoor eating spot in the back) great dining and best of all wonderful people. I know as a manager that it is a challenge to build a staff where everyone is up to the same high standard of collegiality and competence. That is rare and that is...

This place has got to be THE PLACE to be...in the Hampton's, if not the world, hands down. It has that quiet, quaint, breathe of fresh air type feel/exactly what we needed coming from NYC. Lets just say the 1770 House does not disappoint in any aspect. From the garden, to the rooms, to the service, to the restaurant (which...

We stayed in Room # 2 although smaller in size it was very clean and we loved the attention to details; robes, slippers, molton brown toiletries, black makeup towel, frette and sphera sheets and towels, cloth next to the bed, beach towels, fresh apples on the arrival etc...The bed was very comfortable; even though we had windows from the street...

Celebrated a very memorable anniversary at 1770 House! The sea scallop entree was exceptional. Very courteous and attentive staff. We had dinner upstairs but you could also get a table in the tavern area downstairs where it feels like more restaurant then bar.
