We had a perfect meal at their 1770 house. We ate the rack of lamb in the basement which was absolutely charming. We could have shared the main course as it was so large. Done to perfection. The service was excellent. Have and look through the hotel and upstairs rep stress as well as it is memorable.

There are few words to describe how exceptional the 1770 house is. This is our third time staying at the inn. I guess you can call us regulars . The cuisine , the accommodations , and of course the innkeeper Randye are all wonderful . To be frank , I can't understand how anyone can give this inn anything but...

This place is beautiful. I love the intimacy of a smaller inn/hotel. The check in process took all of one minute and every person we came in contact with during our short 24 hour stay was very friendly, helpful and accomodating. We were upgraded to the King fireplace room at the front of the Inn, which was outfitted with luxury...

This is a very quaint guesthouse in a prime East Hampton location. Hospitality was warm and the breakfast was great too. The rooms were tight for space but comfortable. Overall a bit pricey for the total experience, yet we enjoyed our stay.

Cutsey title but true! We stayed here for just 2 nights December 7th 2015 as a relaxing pre New York visit. It took a long time to drive there from JFK as we arrived in at 4.30pm on a Friday so thick with commuter traffic. I was beginning to think I really should have booked somewhere much closer to NYC...

Love the title- we think it's heavenly, too! How nice for both the restaurant and the Inn staff to read your review of The 1770 House. Thank you for taking the time to write. We really appreciate your business.

I came the first weekend of November with my parents and it was one of our favorite getaways ... ever. The hotel is perfectly situated within walking distance of town - which is only the beginning of the highlights. Randye is a gracious, well informed and very friendly innkeeper - she was a highlight of our experience. Her personality is...

If you are searching for a beautiful location in the Hamptons, The 1770 House comes with my wholesome recommendation. My family and I had spent the weekend before at the period hotel, The Jeffersons, in Washington DC and fully expected that experience to be the highlight of our visit to the US. In the event, the first class residency, great...

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay in Room 1. It is a large, light room with a wooden wall containing a gas fireplace and a large tv. The bathroom is all marble and has a huge shower with a large rain head. The furniture is very comfortable and traditional. Breakfast includes fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, baked goods, bagels, smoked...

LOVE this place. It's in the center of East Hampton Village and many things to do. Great possibilities for shopping and museum-hopping... The restaurant is great both upstairs and in their Tavern (which has a working fireplace in winter). The service is fantastic also. Top notch!

We booked from Australia, and were not disappointed. Yes, against the Aust dollar, the 1770 house is expensive, especially as we don't have the extra room taxes and added gratuities, but such a unique and special experience, it's well worth it. Firstly, greeted by Ashly and Randye, who from our email exchanges, we felt like we already knew. The house is...
