Covewood Lodge has been our family vacation for 5 years now and will continue to be for at least another 10. It is beautiful and the wildlife is amazing. The kids love the beach and feeding deer and chipmonks, in fact, we go through about 8 lbs. of peanuts packed for them each year. The staff is very friendly and...

Wonderful location on Big Moose Lake with very caring and hospitable owners and staff. Very family friendly with all sorts of waterfront activities. Comfortable cottages spread amongst a tree lined waterfront with gorgeous mountain and river views and evenings spent seeing and listening to the Loons that inhabit the lake. Few power boats/jet skis spoil the solitude of this special...

2009 was our 3rd annual family trip to Covewood. We absolutely love this place. The people are wonderful, the accomadations are roomy and most of all the scenery is gorgeous. Our kids (4/2) cry every time we leave and can't wait to go abck the following year. The staff are always great and the other guests are very friendly. Look...

We were in the area for my wife's family reunion. The remainder of the family had stayed in other locations along the lake. The actual reunion was taking place at another lodge further down the lake. It was the only place in the area with room available and we sure could tell why. The other locations in the area (which...

We have been Covewood "regulars" for 11 years. The beauty of Covewood is just that...the beauty. The lodging is rustic, and pretends to be nothing else. The serenity of the grounds, the breathtaking views of Big Moose Lake, the sound of loon calls at night, the early morning fog lifting from the water and sunny breezy afternoons make the Covewood...

Oh my god, if you are looking for a cozy little place that will warm you from the inside out then Covewood is the place for you. However if you are one of those big city little girls that can't stand to be out of the woods and have to be in a limo then get out of here. When...

I've been going to Covewood since I was a child, and now bring my own kids there. The setting could not be more beautiful. The lake and the mountains and the woods are fantastic. It's incredibly peaceful, with lots of fun outdoor activities, and a great kids' program. The lodge and the cabins are rustic, but comfortable. Like the daughter...

Though very quaint, appearances were deceiving. I should have been wary by the lack of pictures and descriptions of the rooms. The "convertible bed" turned out to be an older, folded futon-style couch that when unfolded was approx. a double sized mattress on the floor. My husband and I tried this as an alternative to the twin beds which were...

In response to this reviewer's comments I would first like to say that our customer's comfort is of primary importance to us. All of the issues mentioned would have been corrected within minutes if we had been informed of the problem and if fact were corrected immediately. The comment about rudeness is absolutely not true. I was standing at the...

We recently had a family reunion at Big Moose Lake and the lodge we stayed at didn't have enough rooms for everyone, so I arranged for my daughter and her husband to stay at the nearby Covewood. WHAT A MISTAKE THAT WAS! The bed was terrible, the worst ever according to my daughter who has travelled all over the world....
