We traveled up to meet with Diane this past Sunday, it was a beautiful day, not too hot not too cool. Toured the entire Lodge and several of the cottages. This place is a hidden gem foe families that want to go unplugged, on TVs or cell phone reception. There is WiFi in the Lodge if needed and telephones. We... More

We found this place online while traveling, and so glad we did! Beautiful, rustic retreat. We stayed in the lodge and had an amazing lake view. The extra porch room was awesome! The owners we very friendly. We had a wonderful stay and cannot say enough about this place!!!!

I have stayed at the Covewood several times for various photo trips. The last time was September 2014. Great location, great people running the facility. This place provide a true Adirondack experience. Love it.

I agree with all the reviews about the property. But many of the cabins, including the main lodge are infested with mice. We saw and heard them scampering around inside our cabin at night. We set traps at night every morning we found dead mice. The staff is great the property is amazing and I definitely recommend Covewood but they... More

Covewood Lodge is an historic retreat on the shores of Big Moose Lake. Family run it retains a lot of personal touches and personality that you don't find in a lot of other hotels and resorts. Most of the guests stay in housekeeping cabins on the grounds, all of which have kitchens and fireplaces. There are a couple of apartments... More

We went with our two kids. The staff was lovely and helped us with anything we might need, including getting homemade donuts for our Sunday breakfast and giving us break on the boat rental because we did not take it for the full half day. The children's program was great. It is a beautiful, rustic and historical spot. We will... More

Covewood is probably one of the best experiences that I have had on vacation. The staff is very courteous and everything you need is provided for. The view of the lake is like nothing you have ever seen and the accommodations are perfect. Make sure to order donuts to your room on Monday and Thursday. They are the best on... More

For my husband's and my wedding and honeymoon, we stayed in the Henry Covey cottage with several out of town friends and relatives visiting from California and Arizona. It was absolutely beautiful! What a wonderful, romantic, and idyllic place. We saw so much wildlife, including a family of wild turkeys with teeny babies walking by outside our window, loons, a... More

This is one of the classic Adirondack Lodges that was smaller than some but still maintains its old-style charm. The furnishings are dated, but the architecture and the grounds are pure Adirondack. It's very relaxing with great service. It’s a little pricey but you get what you pay for. I chose to rent a small cabin and hang in the... More

Covewood is a special place. It isn't a luxury hotel so don't expect one. The setting is breathtaking and the employees/ownership are great people who are attentive to your needs. There is a loyal following of families who have returned year after year who create a very welcoming community. If you want a place where you can get away from... More
