Where to start? Marcus front desk clerk very unfriendly, not willing to accommodate on the simplest of things. You have to request for your room to be cleaned the day before and if you are going to need towels those need to be requested also. The ladies at the breakfast spot are nice and polite. The pool area is infested with ants and has been closed now for the past two days. There has been mud in the stairwell that has been there since the second day I arrived. Someone spilled something on the floor in front of the ice dispenser and it has been there for what is now week two of my stay. There are wires hanging out of the elevator control panel. The walls of the elevator don’t look like they have been cleaned in two months. Do not disturb tags do not fit on knobs and fall off. I have had to have my room key card reprogrammed three times already in the first week. Went to use elevator with wires hanging out now doesn’t work at all. No towels in pool area now that pool is actually open. One thing after another, this place is a disaster.…
I had a very short stay but a great experience at this hotel, and especially from Chris who was the manager on duty. The whole place was incredibly clean and all fo the staff I interacted with were informative and welcoming.
Christina at front desk was great. Very friendly staff. We were always greeted and acknowledged by staff Great breakfast. Nice workout area. Room was very cool and set up awesome but sadly was not as clean as it should have been.
I was here in June and since then it has declined. A quick summary of visit: 1. Front end man was grumpy and uninviting (arrived after 11 PM, after a long, grueling drive, was exhausted and wanted to go to bed without a grumpy attitude). 2. Elevator sounds like its going to fall to the ground, lights don't work. 3. Bedding was oddly pulled together, rooms are in disrepair. 4. Shower water temperature was luke warm, poor water pressure and broken tiles. Have pictures to support my comments, but am unable to post them going through the company website.
My family reserved three rooms. The rooms were never cleaned, towels and shampoo were never replaced, garbage not collected, and the beds were not made. For a four-star hotel, my family received 1/2-star service. The manager was rude and not receptive to our concerns. The excuse used was Covin for room services not being given. With a pool and weight room available all day long, breakfast being served in the morning, rooms should also be serviced properly especially when my family spent close to $1,000 for a stay of two days.
We had a great stay although my 13year old daughter felt that the staff weren’t very welcome. Room was amazing, it was clean and the breakfast was better than average. My daughter and her friend were however blamed for a mess by the milk chocolate stand they had nothing to do with, and my daughter also saved a painting from falling to the floor in reception, but instead of a thank you she was asked to “step away as they didn’t need her assistance”. She was not happy with the service.
I have stayed at Hampton Inns in the past with no problems, but I have never stayed in one this dirty. The bathroom was so disgusting. There was hair on the shower walls, mold and crud buildup on the shower doors. Long hairs stuck on the urine covered baseboard's. Floors so dirty, my socks were black on the bottoms. I went to the front desk to bring it to their attention but the clerk was too busy on her phone to even look up. Unfortunately I couldn’t change hotels because I would have lost money. So I solved the problem myself and bought a bottle of bleach and sprayed down the entire bathroom. The last time that bathroom was that clean, is when they built it! lol
My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay. The room was huge and vey well laid out; the bathroom was big and I loved the barn door. The tv could swivel so could be watched by either the sleeping area or the living room area. The beds are very comfortable. Our concern was covid, however, there were sanitizer stations throughout the hotel and each time guests were done eating, a hotel employee cleaned the area. Great place to stay!!
The good: The staff was kind, breakfast was delicious and had lots of options, bed was comfortable, plenty of towels, nicely appointed room. The bad: unable to control room temperature. It was a bit warm, but not too bad. Could have used more cups. The ugly: could have been cleaner. Imagine your child picking up and putting a half eaten cookie in their mouth, then a pill (I think a NyQuil). Don't forget the french fries and soda pop bottle cap that is a choking hazard. There was hair around the base of the trash can. All of this leads me to believe they can't be following extra cleaning protocols for Covid. They didn't even get the basics down.
I have stayed and worked at multiple hotels and have never had such horrible interaction with a manager at that, from check in to having to call the police for harassment on the manager Marcus Who is obviously tired of his job.
