One Bad Night after an excellent dozen The location and cleanliness and safety are all tops. Lots of local delicious restaurants. Dog friendly. This last stay was ruined by a non operating TV that despite a replacement remote, would not change from the initial screen, which glared into our otherwise excellent room, all night, repeatedly interrupting our sleep. It was too late to change rooms. We were quite upset that the last cleaning staff failed to note that the TV was on and that they should had the problem addressed before room was rented out! It obviously did not help us when reception told us that their engineer would fix the TV the next day, after we were long gone.
Simple suites property. Rooms appear to have been updated not long ago. The furniture is in good repair. The room was clean. The linens and towels were in good condition. The mattress was very firm. Much more so than other hotels I stay at. Some people may find the mattress uncomfortable if they sleep on medium to soft mattresses. Water pressure was low coming out of a water saving shower head. People with long, thick will have trouble rinsing shampoo and conditioner out of their hair. Heat and AC worked well without being overly loud. Property is convenient to gas stations, some restaurants and interstate I-90. The staff was very friendly. At only 78$ for the night it was a very good price for a clean, quiet basic suite. Traveling solo I would stay again.
The hotel staff was extremely kind in forwarding an item that was left behind. A big thank you to all the individuals involved. I have stayed at this location on two occasions and have been impressed with the friendly professionalism of all the people working there. Many thanks!
We stayed here for three months due to relocating temporarily from Florida to East Syracuse. The staff were amazing and always accommodating to both needs and wants. You were able to get to know them on both a personal and professional level and they made the stay worth it. Can’t say enough about how welcoming they make everyone feel and will go to great lengths to make everything just right.
We chose the Candlewood Suites East Syracuse for a quick weekend trip for an SU football game. To be honest, I was unfamiliar with the Candlewood brand, but being an IHG member we figured we’d give it a shot. The hotel is very clean and the room was very spacious and has a full kitchenette. The front desk staff is very accommodating, professional, and friendly. We had a couple of problems during our stay, but Abdul the manager was very quick to resolve them. A few tips however: first, make sure you tell the front desk if you want daily cleaning. The cleaning policy here is that they only clean your room if you alert them you want it in advance. Not a problem as long as you are made aware of this policy. Second, when you first arrive at the hotel, the entrance is actually in the rear of the building which is a bit odd. You have to drive around to the back of the hotel which feels like you are going to the loading area, but that’s where the front entrance is. Overall, I would recommend this hotel, particularly for the price. It’s a few dollars less than the other hotels in the Carrier Circle area, and the location is good. The manager and staff are great, and this hotel provides good value for the price.…
