My sister and I took a trip all over New York and one of our stops lead us to the Red Carpet Inn. The motel is quaint, very quiet and just a treasure! The bed was comfortable, we enjoyed having a refrigerator in our room and the staff were very friendly and professional. We were pleasantly surprised with the motel.
Just a wonderful experience! Nicole at the front desk was a delight and helped us navigate a potentially tricky situation by going above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Rooms were great. The Inn is within walking distance of two great eating spots and a family fun park. prices were excellent. Highly recommended from a very seasoned world traveler.
Clean, quiet and comfortable. Good simple breakfast offering. Very friendly helpful staff. Highly recommend! Close to all Cooperstown attractions. Easy parking in front of your room. Even a few tables and chairs for relaxing outside your room.
The Red Carpet Inn and Suites in Cooperstown, NY was a true find! At check-in I met Danielle, the Manager who lives on site along with her husband and family. She was so friendly and gave me information about the town, where to eat and fun facts. The hotel itself was a throwback to the old motels of the 60's where you park right in front of your room! Inside were all the conveniences you needed for your stay, plus a small microwave and frig. Beds were comfortable, shower was great and the A/C kept us nice and cool. I'd definitely recommend Red Carpet Inn and Suites to anyone traveling to Cooperstown, NY!
After staying three nights at a sketchy establishment due to not being able to find accommodations near Cooperstown Dreams Park I finally was able to book here. The staff is amazing just so nice and bend over backwards for their guests. They come in your room everyday and clean, make beds, new towels, etc. You walk in a room and it smells clean. You walk into the office and your greeted with a smile. The grounds and building are well maintained. Great internet even. For an independent it is top notch. They have a little breakfast that any kid can enjoy and can satisfy an adult. I've ran hotels for many years it's my job. So I'm giving it too you straight. I couldnt find an IHG property that had rooms so had to deal with a bad property but coming here turned my Cooperstown experience around. A mile from the ball park and worth every penny.…
This is your basic hotel convienent to Cooperstown. Breakfast is very basic with only seating for four, so you'll probably be eating in your room. Plenty of hot water. About three miles from downtown Cooperstown. There are a few restaurants on the road to Cooperstown that you can eat at.
Definitely an economy motel, but the price was right, the proprietor was friendly, and the place was clean. Everything worked, except the air conditioner did not have a thermostat and was basically on or off, so temperature was hard to maintain. Skip the breakfast, head into town to the Cooperstown Diner.
clean, quiet, and easy access to town. did not have to deal with stairs or lobby to access room, just drive right up! coffee and such were served in the lobby at 7am. for the price we paid and considering the location, it is a great deal. . very nice overall stay
We were confused at first because we passed by a Red Carpet Inn by the Lake on the right of Hwy. 28 coming from the expressway and wasn’t sure if it was this one. But rechecking the address we traveled on and found this one further down the road on the left. The parking lot in front of the office is small and the office and breakfast area are in one small room. Check in was quick but the man wasn’t really personable. We found the room clean but the curtains didn’t work well and were worn and some holes in them. We had to secure the bottom ends to keep them closed and clip together the center so people walking by couldn’t see in. The AC worked well but couldn’t figure out the TV or find a channel menu. The room also has a small microwave and refrigerator and both were clean and working. The shower head flow was not very strong but managed and the towels were clean but thin. It was quiet during the night and slept fine with the bed being comfortable and pillow choices including thin ones and thick ones. Breakfast was included in pricing but area small in corner of office with two small tables with two chairs each. They offer a small breakfast bar with mini muffins, cereal, coffee, orange juice, apples, and bananas. The morning clerk was welcoming. We felt the price was high for the type of motel/hotel and not right in town BUT it worked out for us for one night and convenient enough for our travels. There is a Dollar General store close by if you want to get snacks or essentials. It is convenient to Cooperstown Dream Park Complex.…
Friendly, young woman greeted us....Very personable and helpful. Room is clean, bed is comfortable, fresh carpeting, nice tv, small fridge in room. They could use new drapes. Room 36 has one with holes in them. Easy access to downtown Cooperstown and baseball hall of fame. Would stay here again.
