My son and I visited Cooperstown for the first time and stayed at the Baseball Bed and Breakfast for an evening. The house is very comfortable, very convenient to the Hall and downtown, the breakfast was great, and Suzanne and John are wonderful hosts. As well as being avid baseball fans they are very helpful for supplying information regarding other...

My father and I spent a couple of nights at the Baseball B&B (in the Christy Mathewson room) and cannot say enough about the hospitality of John, the owner, and the comfort of their home. We started our days with a fantastic breakfast cooked by John. (Suzanne, he did very well and we're sorry to have missed you!!) with some...

This B&B is like a mini-HOF in itself--lots of baseball memorabilia and hosts who like to talk baseball. We had a baseball-themed room (Mathewson) that was very comfortable and had all the amenities. Hosts Suzanne and John were very hospitable and made us feel at home. They gave us good advice on places to see and where to dine in...

If you are looking for a great place to stay, this is it! We spent 3 nights, 2 days in the home of John and Suzanne Rudy, who treated us like family. We stayed in the Mathewson Room with private bath, comfortable king-sized bed, nice tv. Wonderful baseball memorabilia fills every nook and cranny of the home, and the Rudys...

We were only there one night, so the fact that the owner sat us down and helped strategize our day was great! The room was fine, with a comfortable king bed, private bath, and lots of baseball memorabilia to soak in. The location was perfect for walking into "town" and getting back quickly after walking all day. The owner's wife...

Suzanne and Rudy are amazing and love their baseball. They are so friendly and welcoming. We stayed in the Johnson room and it was very comfortable. It included a private bathroom, tv, a/c, and it was very spacious. The breakfast was delicious! Suzanne gave us the ins and outs. The bed and breakfast is within walking distance to the hall...

Did not have a reservation and stopped by late in the afternoon. Lucky us. We stayed in the Johnson room, and after checking in spent some time with the very pleasant owners out on the back deck just conversing before heading out for dinner. My wife has a salt issue which was accommodated for our breakfast which was served outside...

We recently spent one night at the Baseball Bed and Breakfast. It's located within walking distance of Main St. and the Baseball Hall of Fame. The beds were very comfortable and the inn had a lot of interesting baseball artifacts throughout. The owners were lovely and made our stay very enjoyable. Wonderful breakfast on the patio listening to the birds!

We went with two other couples for an extended weekend trip (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). The hostess and host could not have been nicer or more welcoming. The rooms were very comfortable and well-appointed. We had a wonderful breakfast each day, and were provided with many useful tips. While not cheap, I thought it was a good value for what...

My husband and I stayed in the Cobb room. It was welcoming and relaxing and had a spacious bath. Don't miss out on the peach and blueberry coffee cake, delicious. We weren't treated as guest, but family. Suzanne and John are very knowledgeable of the sites, restaurants and current events.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Located in the heart of Cooperstown, Baseball Bed and Breakfast can be easily found at the 1883 Italianate "sunny yellow house with white trim" on Chestnut Street. The 2/3-acre property has a lush green lawn in the rear (suitable for a game of catch) and a deck rimming the rear of the house where breakfast is served (weather permitting) and guests can sit on rockers to spend some quiet time reading or simply enjoying the scenery before they leave for the Glimmerglass Festival or other attractions in Cooperstown. Inside, the house is decorated with baseball memorabilia (except the music room, where the Hostess, Suzanne Rudy, can be found playing her harp at times during the day and early evening). Each of the bedrooms has air conditioning and a private bath, and is appointed in honor of one of the original five inductees to the Hall of Fame: Cobb, Ruth, Mathewson, Johnson and Wagner. ... more   less
