We went to Grande island in a group, and stayed overnight. After reading some negative blog reviews on the net, I was apprehensive. However the place was excellent, much to my pleasant surprise It cost us 4,400 pesos for the chalet (overnight stay + breakfast + ferry from waterfront road) and I will say it was worth it. 1) Booking...

Before going to Grande Island I have read some of the reviews for grande island and noticed all the negative comments. I crossed my fingers and hoped that its not that bad....I purchased an accomodation for 8 person thru a group buying site hence our accomodation is a bit cheaper than the published rate. An overnight accomodation with ferry ride,...

I had the opportunity of staying at the Grande Island Resort for a work team building event. To get to the resort you must use the ferry which seems run down and not well maintained. It's okay though, if it sinks it will spare you the night that YOU MUST spend on the island since you cannot escape once you're...

Not much to brag about. Rates are high against service. Rooms were clean but aircon not working well and the sink is all clogged up. Food was ok. Beer is expensive. Pool was nice and warm. Beach was itchy. Would think twice before i go back. Maybe after renovation.

I was here when it was newly opened several years ago and the excuse was that it was bad necause it was newly opened. It's now even worse. Very disorganized check-in, their ferry seems to be poorly maintained. Food was unsanitary, literally a hairy experience. Rooms were dirty and all the poor harassed but hard working staff had was a...

February 22-23, 2012 we stayed at Grande island Resort for a pre-practicum training program. All the way from Manila, me and my faculty members and 141 students came to this island for my students to know the difference between an inland hotel and a resort hotel. Grande island was the perfect venue for our training! Not only does it boast...

It's not as appealing as how it was advertised in their leaflet. The ferry leaving the mainland only leaves once a day so you're basically stuck in the island if you want to go back to the mainland. The rooms are scattered all over the small island. It was a bit of a walk. When we got to our room,...

Everything that a management can do good to make a great vacation experience on this island was completely missed. This offer is all take for the resort, all for their gain. The facilities are not well maintained. Ferry is an hour late, then another hour delay due to technical problems. Air-condition in the ferry was just not working that in...

We went there mid-April, and we have to wait for the 2:30PM ferry to go to the island. They have no morning ferry schedule so it's useless arriving at the port very early. After a 20-minute ferry ride, we finally arrived at the resort. The words that I instantaneously describe the resort are vast, wide, spacious, & extensive. The rooms...
