We stayed here for 3 nights and the only positive thing I can say was the morning breakfast was very nice - as was the staff. the building was very old and you expect some areas not to be up to par. However, the room was very small and the bathroom lacked enough hot water and was slow to produce...

Tony B 6/17/2013 We traveled about a hour to the Hudson House. The atmosphere was ok. Unless you sit outside in the front don't expect to get much of a river view. Not overly friendly and it was a Monday night. They served a basket of garlic crouton bread. I got the impression it was leftover bread made to look...

As others have mentioned the Inn's staff is remarkable. Craig who is helping manage the Inn truely understands guest service! The rooms are clean but are in various stages of updating. I never understand why in some establishments its easy for them to say no; this was never the case at the Hudson House not once I love that and...

Basically, what you see is what you get...... The place is old; the walls are thin, the plumbing loud and the wallpaper knicked and a little torn. The rooms are relatively expensive. BUT, the place reeks charm, was clean and actually smelled -- I dunno -- "fresh" I guess. In that genuine clothesline sort of way, not that disinfectant, cleaners...

Went for lunch with my wife and daughter and had an excellent meal which was value for money. Welcomed by the friendly staff and daughter given crayons to colour. If I had a criticism it would be that no time was given between starters and main and one waiter tried to take away my plate before I had finished -...

My theory on what makes a great hotel is 99 percent service and 1 percent product. I have stayed in hostels I've loved and luxury resorts I've hated. It's all about how you're treated. Hudson House Inn treated us incredibly well and we left there feeling great about the proprietor, Mina, and her staff and the hotel. We found Hudson...

Arrived way early for our reservation (our fault) and waited 15 mins past reservation time...only because staff does the most bizarre seating program of predetermining reservation tables for the whole restaurant ahead of time..so that we were the first 6:30 two top to arrive and the last 6:30 of all to seat. Besides that we were comped our first drinks...

Our hosue was hit by Sandy and we needed a night out to let the tree people rmeove the oak from the roof (ouch!). All hotels in 20 mile radius were booked with others like us running for shelter from damaged homes. I recalled Hudson House Inn where we had spent a nice weekend a few years back and made...

This National Register of Historic Places hotel was built in 1832, which is good news/bad news. It has been fairly well maintained w/in the constraints of the designation. Not surprisingly, the A/C is really poor and very noisy, the rooms are tiny, really tiny, but it has a great location right on the Hudson River at one of the most...

The woman who checked me in was very thoughtful and accomodating. However, the remainder of the stay was a disappointment. The building is in desperate need of a major renovation and the room wasn't particularly clean. The window a/c unit was barely adequate to cool the room. The public areas of the inn were very warm. Breakfast didn't begin until...

“We stayed in Room 1 with balcony, and little sitting area, small old fashioned TV, and not much storage space. Room 2 was same but instead of sitting area it had a closet, only an amoire in room 1. Room 2 is connected to suite 3/4, and you can hear everything. We checked out room 6, no balcony but same size room. Would not visit on Tues. Restaurant closed, and town empty. maybe just in winter”
