Okay. Clean and friendly staff. Not open in A.M. to check out. Older motel located in downtown Clayton. Needs updates. I may stay again of in Clayton. Good recommendation for breakfast but not for dinner.

The owner of the place is very friendly, he gave us very good rate for a last minute booking. We came here with almost zero expectations so we didnt find this place to be as bad, in some of the reviews. Yes its kind of appears to be uncared for, but the room we stayed in was clean, towels were...

There is a bar next door and until 3am the patrons from that bar were parking in the motel parking lot, even though there's a sign saying for motel customers only. They were drunk, yelling, fighting, and tearing out of that parking lot all that evening and into the early hours. You would think the owners would be responsible to...

We tried to check into 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel, the new hotel in town, but it was full. The concierge there recommended Bertrand's and should be ashamed. We went to the office and found out we had to pay before we stayed. On the way to the room I noticed a lot of termite damage along the base of the...

This hotel has a great location (very close to Clayton Town center and the St. Lawrence Seaway) The rooms are adequate, but not outstanding. Good breakfast restaurants are very close, so you do not miss the in-hotel breakfast of the fancier hotels. Our room was clean, so maybe the previous comments motivated the owner to do a bit more. They...

Let me start by saying the owner is a friendly guy. So are his staff. I don't understand what's going on with this motel. It's in a great location right in downtown but it's not being kept up. Our room was smelly, very dirty, very, very, dirty. The night stand lamp was broken and had been broken for a very...

Went fishing with a group of friends and accomodations at Bertrand's were part of the package. Not a five star hotel but it was clean, comfortable and located within walking to everything in Clayton. The owner and staff were friendly and provided great service. Overall a good value for the price.

This hotel gave me a bad taste in my mouth from the second we pulled up. The outside appearance was less than impressive to be followed up by being horrified by the condition of the interior. The rooms were disgusting! I don't have a problem with old as long as the place is clean, but this hotel was far from...

Spending time in the Thousands Islands area and I chose this motel because of its location. I really liked walking to the Boat Museum and the restaurants. I called for a weekend reservation and it was easy. Reservation clerk offered the use of a microwave, fridge and coffee maker and I said yes. Check in was never better. Guest’s last...

This motel was not fancy, it was simply the cleanest, friendliest, best located, motel room for its price, that I have ever stayed in. In the very heart of Clayton's waterfront, within a few steps of the river and downtown. The staff was friendly and very accommodating, and our room had 2 very comfortable double beds, a roomy bath with...
