This was a Groupon gift from my sister for Christmas, so this week we decided to use. I thought I would have a look on TA to check the reviews to get an idea of what to expect. I must admit with a few negatives was not really looking forward to it, I was completely misled it was fantastic value...

Cheese & pickle sandwiches and ham & cheese sandwiches, crusts on, deep finger indentations where bread had been cut. I thought going out for afternoon tea was to be something special, something that we wouldn't have at home - obviously not. Cakes were bought-in mass produced, as were the scones. Jam presented in individual packs, surely this could have been...

Had a very enjoyable afternoon tea at this very nice hotel. The sandwiches were very tasty with plenty of filling followed by a small scone, jam and cream, and small cakes My only criticism would be that we were not offered a top up of tea and coffee, which we could have done with by the time we had finished,...

Very friendly place to stop over, staff very helpful, lovely and accommodating, our room was spacious and comfy and my husband enjoyed his birthday weekend. The Blue Boar was located in a pretty setting, we then continued to our Whiskey and Gin tour.

Waited 3/4 of an hour for 3 sandwiches, just about to walk out when the order was brought out to us, appalling service. Each time we asked how much longer our food was going to be, we were told "a minute", good job it wasn't an emergency. The pub wasn't busy either, won't be visiting this one again.

Wonderfully quirky pub, food and service were absolutely first rate. Room was clean and well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. Will definitely visit again - only wish we lived closer as the Blue Boar would make a great local.

I bought this as a treat for Mum and I. I must say the drive up and the pub itself was beautiful and in a lovely location which made it easy to find. We were greeted and seated straight away with a smile. The sandwiches had lots of variety and filling. The cheese cake slices and brownies were delicious. The...

I have stopped off at this pub a few times for a quick drink when visiy=ting family locally. On this occasion we were staying in the area for a couple of days so stayed at the Inn for a couple of nights. It's a typical old pub with narrow staircases but the room was very pleasant and well equipped. Breakfast...
