We LOVE staying at the Starlight 🥰 Thank you for a wonderful stay 🙏 Very clean and pretty and efficient. We look forward to staying again soon. So close to Bellayre mountain also. And the wonderful little town of Pine Hill
Great area, friendly check in, clean room. Older motel, but it’s been well kept. Bathroom was update in recent years, comfortable bed. Kitchen was great & outside cooking/seating is a great addition and behind motel. Beautiful Mountain View’s. Quiet & clean location. Free Netflix & Hulu & great wifi. Enjoyed our 2 night stay. room, older but well kept. Free Netflix & Hulu & great wifi Bathroom was update in recent years, comfortable bed. Kitchen was great & outside cooking/seating is a great addition. Privately behind motel. Beautiful Mountain View’s. Quiet & clean.
Me and my 2 kids stayed here overnight to go skiing the next morning. It was a quick drive to Belleayre mountain. The room had a full kicthen with a teapot, coffee pot, microwave, stove and fridge. The only thing we used was microwave to make popcorn and the coffee pot. The motel provides you with coffee, sugar and creamers. They also had little shampoo and conditioner bottles. This motel was perfect and affordable for our overnight ski trip.
This is a very quaint hotel. We stayed two nights. The room was clean and comfortable. We really liked having a kitchen that was well equipped. The property was well kept and quiet. We were very happy we our stay and would stay again.
I was in the area for a short 2 night stay for my grandson’s 1st birthday. Was looking for a place closest to my daughter’s house in Arkville. I’ll start with the positive. The units were clean. There were small soaps and shampoos provided. Ample amount of soft towels. Small kitchenette with stove, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker. Since the motel is still under COVID protocols, there is no breakfast provided as advertised. Coffee packets, creamers, sugar in the room. Could have left some sort of continental style breakfast and still maintained protocols. When using the shower in the room, faucets were difficult to operate. When done, couldn’t turn the shower off. Went to the office, sign indicating not open until noon. Called number in confirmation email and got motel staff. Indicated the problem with inability to shut off water. Was told housekeeping would be there in 20 minutes. We were switched to another room and left with the water running. As far as the rooms were concerned all of the furnishings were extremely old and very worn and beat up. Chairs had tears and rips in them. Extension cords were used to plug in multiple items and circuits in the rooms were not working. I would consider the situation an extreme fire hazard. TV in 1st room did not function. Indicated that there was WiFi but even when connected couldn’t get wifi calling to work. Beds were horribly uncomfortable. No bed springs, just mattresses on a frame. There were rodent deterrent devices plugged into the kitchen outlets. There was a petrified dead fly stuck to one of the bed pillows in the rooms that we were moved to. Ugh!! Couldn’t get lamps to work (outlets not functioning). Nothing has been done in this motel to upgrade the rooms in decades. The bathrooms were far beyond dated. This motel needs to seriously consider gutting every room and starting from scratch. And they command a $175/night, plus fees for substandard lodging. Half the price would have been commensurate with the caliber of the motel offerings. I considered another establishment with a 5 star rating that was the same price, but it was an additional 10 minutes from my destination. Booking at the Starlite was a huge mistake. Hindsight is twenty-twenty! I have been an Airbnb superhost with a 5 star guest rating for nearly 4 years. I maintain an impeccable property and reinvest my profits into continual upgrades for my guests. Clearly that does not occur at the Starlite. I will never stay at this motel again nor would I recommend it to anyone. Lesson learned!!…
Room was ready and they accommodated our late arrival without any hassle. Location is perfect, quiet, clean, would come back again. Beds were comfortable, kitchenette was great, plenty of hot water, it was a joy.
Overnight wedding visit, unit was very clean, nicely appointed with a kitchen, out back individual picnic table BBQ and even communal fire pit. Great for ski weekend/week . Hiking , summer vacation. Can I say again very clean well appointed room Staff could not have been more accommodating Definitely stay here again Has a cool funky vibe
Nice location, mountain view front and rear, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet. Seamless (contactless) check-in and -out. Kitchen really convenient for early in the week stays when nearby restaurants are closed. Grill and picnic table out back for each unit an option for nicer weather, fire ring and chairs for relaxing or toasting marshmallows in the evening. Kids will love the multi-colored "fireflies" projected in the forest in the evening.
The Starlite has great amenities!! We truly love the new fire pit in the back! Great experience every visit!! The location is perfect. We enjoy the amenities of a full kitchen and the grills in the back. Can’t wait for our new visit!!!!!!!!!!
Retro motel that's reminiscent of the hotels we stayed at as kids, yet with 2022 prices. Sheets and towels are clean, however is in major need of an upgrade (especially the bathroom and kitchenette). Coffee maker, meh. Not great. The motel was selected specifically for out-of-town family. We were told that places fill up fast and so we jumped on it right away. Knowing what we know now and having a better lay of the land, I would've selected other lodgings in a neighboring location.
