We wanted a cheap accomodation near JFK and easy accesibility for 4 days. Relativly cheap it was but getting to/from downtown was a bit of a hasle. Yes the Hotel is a bit old but clean. We had a lot of luggage and hauling them up/down in the narrow corridors was not easy. Staff were definitely friendly and helpfull. Overall...

We appreciate your taking the time to write us a review online. This building was built in 1964 and we are constantly updating the property. The most recent was our common areas (hallway). They are a little bit wider than they were before and they have a really nice clean and fresh look to them now. Hope to have you...

Staff was very helpful regarding how to get from one location in the city to another. Beds were quite comfortable. Parking was difficult when the hotel was full. Breakfast was just okay. Rooms were clean. Quite convenient to highway and train to downtown New York City.

We stayed overnight and picked the hotel for its convenience and access ability. Rooms were dirty, and they were doing repairs while we were there. Not worth the price and I would not go back . Only convenience was the parking and Starbucks across the street. Carpet was dirty and bed was lumpy. A budget motel would have been a...

Thank you for contacting us regarding your experience as our hotel. As mentioned in a post below, we are in the final phases of our hallway renovation project. Please visit our facebook page to see the timeline of the start to finish of the project. We have come a long way in modernizing and updating everything in the corridors. Unfortunately,...

Needed a place to stay for an event. Found this place and gave it a try. The Hotel is just about standard when compared to others in the area. What made it stand out was the helpful and friendly staff. They were knowledgeable of the area, courteous and very professional. It's nice to walk into someplace new and get greeted...

I reserved a room for my mother last weekend and the guy at the front desk was very rude, and not helpful at all. When my mom woke up she had weird bites all over her, it was bed bugs!! When we called the front desk to just inform them of what had happened, they were rude and said pretty...

1. We used our GPS to find the place but, the address is deceiving and we found ourselves @ a Harley dealership...no problem we just gave them a call (mistake), four calls and an hour later we found we were going in the wrong direction. This was even though we were calling out landmarks but the refrain was always..."it's only...

Stayed at the hotel for a long weekend, as we couldn"t get into the Andrew. The hallways and room smelled bad. A very old hotel that needs new carpet and new mattresses! The staff was pleasant but don't expect much from the free breakfast. Will not stay here again.

Ladies & Gentlemen, Boys & Girls, Children of all ages-- The Anchor Inn reeks of cigarette smoke from the moment you open the front door. Even the designated "No Smoking" rooms are contaminated, probably because the ventilation is so poor. The window A/C has a filthy "filter" which stopped being of any use a decade ago when it was last...

Sorry that you were disappointed with your visit. While we appreciate all of our reviewers, we find it hard to respond when the statements made aren't exactly accurate.
