We were the only guests at this lodge when we were there for 3 days which made our experience unforgetable. We played games with the manager KT and our two guides Congo & Fabian, who took us on walking safaries. Watching the hippos while having dinner was our bush tv. The tents are not very luxery but that did not...

There's nothing fancy about Oddballs, but if you read the reviews you'll realise that straight away. What it lacks in features it more than makes up for in its position and natural surroundings. The tents are simple and damn hot ( in October), there is no fan or electricity. The shower is a bucket, but it works and the elephants will freak...

We stayed two nights and did two excursions each day via mekoro and on foot. We saw elephant, buffalo, impala, kudu, gnu, crocodile, zebra, giraffe, vervet monkeys, baboons, hippos, loads of differnt typeso f bird. Lions were close by. Accommodation in luxurious tents and ensuite 'al fresco' bathroom, made th e stay memorable. Food was lovely and the people really...

This experience will never ever leave me. I felt vulnerable, exhilarated, nervous and peaceful - all at once! A much more connected way to experience Africa - quiet mokoro glides along the waterways, your guide whispering to you not to disturb the grumpy hippos, midnight races to the straw toilet whilst having your butt eaten alive by mossies and the...

I travelled to 3 other safari locations but this one is different. You get to places of interest by gliding through the reeds and lillypads in a mokorro, a carved wooden boat that is quite comfortable. Then you can actually walk or hike to see wild game which I saw in abundance. I did an overnight with my guide John...

We stayed in Oddballs Camp, the lower end version of the two options. It was glamping at its finest. When you arrive (typically by small chartered plane) you are warmly greeted by your guides for your stay. Get to know these guys, they are amazing at their jobs and full of information. We had Daps and Rips as ours and...

OK...there are no fences. So yes, you are among the wildlife. There are no vehicles, the experience is on foot or via dugout canoe. Sounds intriguing, except the boldness with which animals are approached via land rover on other safaris must yield to passive observation from afar. In other words, the animals are way "over there" and they run away...

The main camp is pleasant with a beautiful view but can feel a little full. Would recommend that you arrange rather to camp out. Slip through the delta reeds to your own island and enjoy the isolation. The tents, including a toilet seat fresh long drop tent and shower tent and cooking are all set up in this pristine environment....

You are in the middle of the Okavango Delta. Gliding through the fantastic scenery is tranquile and a little unnerving. Unnerving simply because you were constantly trying to avoid running into hippos. Our guide, Fabien, called FNB, was such a delight. The Manager, KT, was one of the most friendly of all managers. The hostesses, males and females were truly...

We spent 4 nights in the Okavango Delta (2 at Oddballs Camp and 2 camping in the Moremi Game Reserve with our Oddballs guide). The flight to the Delta from Maun on a tiny 5-seat airplane was gorgeous, but motion-sickness-inducing. We had to abort the initial landing as there was an elephant on the runway! Our guide, Occey, met us...
