We spent 3 nights at Chitabe Lediba in mid-January; it was wonderful...the staff were very friendly, the rooms were beautiful & tastifully decorated and we enjoyed the fact that their meals were simple & more focused on being healthy. I always dreamed of going on an African safari and thanks to Chitabe Lediba my dream came true. I cannot speak highly enough of this beautiful camp in Botswana and the highlight was going out on the drives and being so close to the wildlife. On one day we sat and watched a family of lions (with cubs too), stopped...

We stayed in four camps during our trip to Botswana and Chitabe had, by far, the best wildlife viewing. Lions, cheetahs, leopards and the usual cadre of birds and other mammals abounded. If you want to see the critters in the Delta, you can't go wrong here. The camp itself was good, if not great. Relatively speaking we found the...

These were interspersed with herds of elephant, antelope and buffalo. We also saw hyena and jackals. It was a great relax as there are no...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Intimate Chitabe Lediba is a perfect game viewing base for families or small groups. A lediba is a lagoon that has become a waterhole, where a variety of wildlife comes to drink. Chitabe Lediba's dining area, lounge, and pool all overlook just such a vista. The sister camp of Chitabe, it lies on the other side of the same tree island and echoes many of its sibling's qualities. The same well-appointed canvas tents are raised on decks with uniquely styled interiors, but the smaller nature of the camp offers a more intimate experience, ideal for small groups or families. Highlights: Chitabe Lediba sports that classic Okavango Delta scenery, from palm-dotted floodplains to open savannah and woodlands. This mix of Okavango (water) and Kalahari (land) makes for an excellent home to an abundant array of herbivores: giraffe, buffalo, red lechwe, tsessebe, impala and elephant, which in turn support the larger predators: lion, leopard, spotted hyaena, cheetah and the rare and charismatic wild dog. The Camp is composed of 4 Tents (including 2 Family Tents): Spacious en-suite Meru-type tents, individually styled; outdoor shower with a view; family units withadjoining en-suite bedrooms. Experiences Include: Day and night game drives and Guided walks (on request) ... more   less
