We stayed at Chobe Chilewero after a quite exhausting trip around Nambia but it was THE perfect place to unwind and chill out for a few days. On previous visit to Botswana we have done the more wild fly in safaris but this was different..... luxurious bungalows and spacious, with lovely touches. The welcome was warm, every member of staff...

We spent 2 nights and 2 1/2 days at this 5 star lodge on the Chobe River, as part of a week of Safari excursions between Zimbabwe and Botswana. The location, grounds, accommodations, game drives and service were unbelievably great. Our room was a suite with air-conditioning and Wi-Fi and a stocked, complementary mini-bar. There was an inside shower and...

Our experience at Chobe Chilwero was absolutely fantastic. The lodge overlooks the Chobe river and the view is magnificent. The cottages are huge and beautifully decorated; the food was delicious and the game drives / cruises the best we have ever had. Our guide Tony was very funny yet extremely knowledgeable. We saw lions, a leopard, wild dogs, hippos, waterbucks,...

Ideal off the beaten track from Johannesburg - under 2 hour flight to Kasane and 10 minutes to the lodge from the airport. Staff friendly and helpful - however few things missing to rate with Southern Africa's best lodges. Question is then value for money - but it probably have some of the most stunning locations in Chobe

Rooms and food outstanding. I gave myself a deep tissue massage and fell into the deepest sleep. Grounds were open with plenty of animal life around lodge. On this trip we stayed in 2 tented camps and 2 lodges for three days each. The only negative I have is that this lodge only offers the same drive and boat trips...

The welcome staff was wonderful, Leshe was a delight. Our room was stunning although there was no views, just land that was being watered at the time. The views from the restaurant are stunning, The Chobe river and warthogs and mongoose running around. The chef Phinneas cooked special non spicy meals for me, I felt so pampered! The boat tour...

The team at this lodge truly understands the meaning of "spoiling you rotten'!. Every detail is perfect. Reception - we were greeted by a wonderful receptionist, who made it clear that we were HER guests throughout our stay!. You are treated to a refreshing drink and then gentle stroll thorough the grounds. Rooms are ready for you -- and what...

What is there to say other than I/we loved everything about this resort and the experience of a lifetime it offered us. From the facilities (which were impeccably and tastefully appointed) to the staff who were consistently attentive, helpful and friendly, to the game park itself which was full of wild animals free to roam in a 1.1 million hectare...

Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero is a luxurious riverside retreat in the heart of the bush, with all of the facilities of a larger resort. The main area commands fabulous views over the Chobe River which borders Chobe National Park to the north. As well as the elephants for which the park is famous for, guests can relax in the split-level swimming pool, unwind with a pampering session in the spa or enjoy the gourmet food that the lodge has become known for. Each of the 14 thatched guest cottages has two showers, one inside and one outside. The ensuite bathroom also has a large free-standing bath. After a day of game viewing, what better way to relax than in your own private garden with a cocktail? Or if the fancy takes you, why not have your gourmet dinner served right here under the African sky. Coffee stations are now available for guest use in the rooms. Our honeymoon suite at Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero features a private plunge pool and deck area where guests will be able to enjoy private dinners for two under the stars (weather permitting) and special turn downs every night.
