An exclusive and intimate ambience permeate this understated luxury lodge affording even the most discerning of travellers to Botswana a truly unique safari experience. Ghoha hills We were welcomed by all members of staff standing on the steps and singing a delightful welcome song in Setswana. It brought tears to our eyes after a long and difficult journey with a one year old baby. Everything about this place was exceptional: the accommodation, beautifully decorated room well secluded from the next one, with just everything you need, the comfortable large bed with a mosquito net around it, very important in this area, the location, wonderful views from the bedroom. We just loved the place. When it was time for an aperitif we were treated to more songs and dance around the fire. We were asked to give our washing and as we had already spent one week moving from one hôtel to another this was so welcome, our washing came back just a few hours later, no charge all part of the service. And then of course, I must talk about the staff, every member of staff was kind welcoming and very helpful I would like to mention Kennedy especially who took us on two safaris and was a mine of knowledge. We asked him thousands of questions and he answered them all very patiently. Ghoha hills will remain my favourite place where we stayed in Botswana, it was just FABULOUS. We feel still connected with Ghoha hills as my daughter recorded the singers and my grandson watches it two or three times a day. Wonderful memories! We thought when we booked Ghoha hills that the price was high however having experienced this lodge and all the service they have provided we think it was excellent value for money

We stayed here in November and had a great time! The people, the views, and the game viewing were all just wonderful. The lodge itself is very nice- with the rooms perched high up on a hill with really great views, You can see a watering hole from the main lodge- the elephants loved this during our stay so we had a steady parade of animals to watch! The staff was also wonderful and so accommodating- the food was consistently delicious. The game viewing was also pretty good. The lodge takes advantage of the area right around them, where we saw tons of elephants, buffalo, lions, and giraffes, just to name a few. The afternoon sundowners at the watering hole while watching the elephants frolic in the mud was absolutely amazing. We also had the amazing experience of watching two lion brothers execute a hunt. In the mornings we went to the Savuti march area, where we also had great luck with game, including a baby leopard and many more lions (including cubs). Our guide, Allan, was amazing- his knowledge of the area was tremendous and he could not have been nicer.

After a long hard drive to reach the Chobe National Park, we were amazed to see a unique lodge in the nature: clean beautifully-designed chalets with stunning views, a cozy lobby-bar, and very good internet. Having made one day drive and two afternoon drives on a safari car, we had chances to discover the wild life through Chobe until Savuti. Besides learning how to keep track with the animals, we also enjoyed talking with our guide Kennedy about Botswana. And a fine dinner was always the best end for such a day of adventure. We will keep in mind the moments of facing the animals through drives, of having breakfast just above a busy waterhole, of hearing the lions roar at midnight (the animals were not so close to us as it seemed), and last but not least: huge hospitality from the manager Edwin and all staff. We will choose another time of year for our next trip to Botswana in order to see other images of the area, and we would like to experience this return through great services by the Ghoha Hills Lodge again.

The Lodge is located on the hill with very nice view also on a waterhole with animal sightings. During the evening drive we went to a hut next to a lake where a LOT of elephants came (some very close) and a hippo went out and into the water. That was really a unique experience. The Lodge is very nice designed and furnished, the food is excellent and the service very welcoming. We were very satisfied also with our driver. We really recommend very much to stay in the lodge!
