I went with my wife and daughters aged 18 and 21. The tents are amazing considering they move the site every couple of weeks or so. Beds were very comfortable, hot bucket showers and flush toilets. Limited electric, could charge camera batteries and phones for...More
Unlike the permanent camps elsewhere, this camp moves every 5 days so it really is camping, but with a difference! It really is a tent with canvas walls and roof but it has matting on the floor and a large double bed, a canvas wall...More
It was my first stop on solo trip and the first in Botswana, and definitely didn't disappoint. It was a great stay, the whole staff was welcoming and very helpful, and Chief was the best guide. I never thought the food could be as delicious...More
We had a great time glamping in Chobe. We did not just see animals, but herds upon herds of animals. The food in the bush was very good, and the experience was unforgettable. Just be ready for (very) early wake ups. Our highlights include leopard...More
At andBeyond Chobe Under Canvas, mobile safari tents with ensuite bathrooms (with flush toilet and steaming hot bucket shower) are positioned at secluded sites in the game-rich wilderness of Chobe National Park. Hi Gabriele - No, you cannot drive off-road in Chobe National Park. However, I did not find this to be an impediment at all. The wildlife in this park are used to feeling safe around vehicles, and they were regularly crossing and hanging out by the dirt roads. Also, there is a river road that goes along the river, and all of the animals come to the river to drink at some point.
