Until I visited this place I had no idea this was first game park in South Africa, before Kruger! Fantastic setting, the accommodation plus bar and restaurant have amazing views of the river with opportunity to spot game from your veranda. Staff are fantastic, game drives great saw lots and learnt lots. Sun down boat cruise recommended, view of crocs,...

The rooms were clean and lovely with good views of the river. It was very hot and the AC seemed to battle to cope, especially as there was overload and the electricity went off couple of times during our stay. We had booked a fishing trip with bait etc, but they ran out of bait when it was our men's...

We only stayed here for one night and would have loved to stay one more! This is not a wellknown place I think, but it should be, because It's just great. We got a house overlooking the whole area, with a big balcony where you can sit outside and just enjoy. There is a small swimmingpool which is so nice...

We found this place by chance and it really is a such a beautiful place. Very scenic, the staff were most helpful and friendly. You cannot do self drives so you have to book and go with the lodges game ranger. They are very knowledgeable so you learn a lot. Food was excellent too. The place is well maintained and...

The chalet we...

Lovely restaurant, lounge and bar area. Although the rooms have FANTASTIC views of river below, they are basic and the bathroom in ours was seriously in need of a complete refurbishment. The meals were very good and served around an open log fire. Took a trip on the river with our guide Bongo....who knew his stuff....great guy ! Saw Rhino,...

I stayed three nights with friends and we had the most amazing time! The staff are very helpful and extremely kind. Their passion for their reserve is clear to see. The rooms were perfect! With a view of the river we could see wildlife from the moment we woke up right the way through to dusk. The activities were well...
