What a beautiful spot away from the masses along this pristine coastline of South Africa. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rocktail Camp. The food was delicious, and the staff go out of their way to accommodate your every wish. They even organized us a picnic on the beach complete with gazebos! The dive school is incredibly efficient and highly...

We stayed from the 17th April to the 24th April. Overall the stay was lovely. The room was comfortable and had a great view. The resort is a bit tired but they are doing maintenance. Activities were at an extra cost. the ocean safari was amazing and a must do. The snorkelling we swam with dolphins and saw turtles and...

It's a bit of a mission to get there, but when you do, you'll know it was worth it. We were there for 5 nights and stayed in a two person tented cabin (no. 6) with glorious views of the indigenous forest with the sea in the distance. In summary, simple comfortable and spotlessly clean accommodation in the middle of...

For anyone looking to combine diving and safari into one trip, Rocktail Beach Camp is the perfect solution. They have an onsite Dive Center (Mokarran Dive Charters) which is first rate, they are super close to the beach (which is right off the Maputaland Marine Reserve), and the rooms are lovely and spacious with ensuite bathrooms. Besides diving, they have...

Dear Merrill, We are glad to see how much you enjoyed your stay with us as well as the time spent with the great team at Mokarran Dive Center. With the majority of the staff coming from the local villages they have grown up with little to no English - and therefore have adapted this incredibly so, all now being...

Flew into Manzengweya airstrip which is about a 7 minute drive to the Wilderness Rocktail camp. Spent 4 nights at the camp and had a great time. The weather was not great on one day in particular but fine the rest of the time. In my view this lodge will suit divers and snorkelers most. The water in the ocean...

It is a lovely place. Accommodation in tent-like pavilions, very comfortable and cosy. Thanks to little bit longer walk you'll get more privacy. Beautiful view on the Indian Ocean, tons of butterflys and some monkeys "fast as a lightning" :-) It is a Turtle Mecca - you can see them digging nests and laying eggs, and hatchlings rushing to the...

Was told that the beach has been nailed a bit from the recent cyclone and the road from Lala Nek to Bhanga Nek is not passible due to fallen trees and overgrowth from the roads disuse. So it seems that to accces areas north of lala...

Dear Produsa, Thank you for the review, and are glad to see you enjoyed your short lunch visit with us. This is a nice tented camp with a large lounge and dining area overlooking the pool and rooms spread out along the ridge. These are big rooms with canvas walls but a solid roof - critical as we were there during a cyclone and the rain was torrential. The room was well-equipped with proper lights, sockets and tea/coffee making facilities.,...
