We got a private casita so it was amazingly quiet and luxurious. There are some broken items (door stopper, loose sink knob, etc...). But, you can't expect much in Taos as far as new hotels, shops or buildings. The gym is super small. The lobby is a bit rustic. We didn't eat in the restaurant. The location is outstanding. Take...

My wife and I went to El Monte for our 5th Anniversary. I am 71, so this was a very special occasion for us. AAA has rated this hotel with four stars. El Monte Segrado has beautiful grounds with flowing streams, ponds and tree-lined walkways. There is a $25.00 per day Resort Fee that covers Valet Parking, Wi-Fi and a...

Jessica at the Living Spa is the best. She specializes in facials and waxing. As an addition, if you use any of the services at the spa, you are able to visit the pool, steam rooms and all of the other amenities.

The hotel is nicely located with a very nice lay-out for accommodations...the "casitas" or suites are comfortable...a little jaded. BUT...the treatment I had at the Spa by Rebecca was probably the best one I've ever had! (I've been fortunate to experience many spa's). The "Sacred Staurolite" treatment given by Rebecca was an out of body experience. She has a special...

The grounds and the buildings on this property are an amazing ambiance. We attended a wedding here, and it was a magical place for that. Great experience for a large group to spend a day or two without tripping over each other. We stayed in one of the casitas, as we are a family of 5, and it was very...

I had the pleasure of staying in one of the more modestly priced rooms during a trip to Taos. The room was beautiful, with a massive bathtub and gas fireplace. I was immediately made to feel at home by Zoe, the concierge handling my reservation. She took the time to personally show me to my room and give me a...

I had been through a hectic, somewhat stressful time and was looking for a getaway where I would be near some activity if I felt like doing something but otherwise to have peace and quiet and everything I needed just outside my hotel room door. I had been to Taos before but had never been to El Monte Sagrado -...

The staff was excellent and when we had to move because of a power outage (after a nasty wind storm) we were moved to another room and were compensated for our "inconvenience". Unfortunately the kitchen was hit by the power outage so we could not enjoy a dinner there but breakfast the next morning was superb. The resort is decorated...

This charming adobe Hotel is really the best place you can stay in Taos. The rooms are huge and very region-like. It's a perfect hideaway for couples. The views out of the cabins are amazing and I really did love the breakfast. Great spot !
