This is a wonderful hotel that's s bit run down. Our room was large and charming with spacious living and bedrooms and a hot tub. The bed was caved in in the center and the room was very hot at night. There was a thermostat in the bedroom but it did not work. Nice friendly staff and a terrific indoor...

I am very honest and hope others are when writing a review. I booked a stay at the EL MONTE SAGRADO RESORT IN TAOS, NEW MEXICO based on reviews and in part by the hotel web page. While the hotel is nice i now question the "award winning" or the "resort" description. Awards are based on competition and in the...

El Monte Sagrado is a beautiful property that is so calming and unique. The staff is amazing, and is so helpful. They really try to individualize your stay, and make you feel welcome. We had a great time sitting out in the patio, and enjoyed our luxurious room.

The spa by far was amazing. I loved our room (it was a native american room)- nice decor, nice to have two rooms, a balcony. No complaints at all. It's a bit far from downtown but they have a free shuttle. I would stay here again. And having spent a lot of time in NM since I was a kid,...

We visited for Spring Break (with our 10 year old twins) and stayed in one of the Taos Mountain rooms (605). From the very start we were greeted with a warm welcome and great tips by valet Marco. The room was great, with small fridge, giant bathtub and beautiful surroundings. The restaurant was very good, not excellent, but we were...

This is a top-notch property, with service to match. Rooms are beautiful (we had a large suite) and the shuttle around town is quick and easy, on-demand. The check-in and valet staff were great. Only small downside is the restaurant -- service was a little off, and the food isn't great (this probably wouldn't be noticeable anywhere else -- it...

We wanted to like this hotel better, but it just didn't live up to our expectations. The room wasn't entirely clean upon arrival, and we were also charged for room service placed the same day and hour we checked in, which we never ordered and I luckily caught in time. Aside from that my wife's experience at the spa was...

Abraham Juarez and Mark Carroll were both so kind and helpful, and went out of their way to make our stay exceptional. Could not have asked for a better stay. I absolutely love the staff, the grounds, and the China suite is beautiful! Private courtyard, beautiful pool and salt water hot tub, I wouldn't stay anywhere else. It's also nice...

I really enjoyed my first facial that was done by Jessica Boudreau at the Living Spa. She was very professional and friendly. Not only did I receive a great facial, I gained healthy knowledge about my skin and skincare routine. The experience entirely was relaxing and I enjoyed the wet sauna. The all-around atmosphere was pleasant and pretty. Very vibey...

Never have I stayed in a Hotel anywhere as artistically beautiful as El Monte Sagrado. It would be the perfect location for a destination wedding with all guests staying here. The decor was fabulous and comfortable. The grounds were extensive and so naturally maintained. Only problem was the food was just okay.
