This place may average out to "average" but there is nothing average about it. The bar and lobby is a great place to people watch and enjoy the local color. Live "music" most days, some truly weird stuff that sounded like Native American influenced or maybe south Asia, plus some folk music groups. We got a first floor room in...

This is an old inn with a surprising and beautiful atrium, bar and restaurant. We went for happy hour and sat in the outside courtyard which was a bit noisy due to street traffic but enjoyable nevertheless esp since it is dog-friendly. There is plenty of parking in the back.

The Inn is a collection of adobe rooms, each group with its own outdoor area. Our room was spacious, nicely furnished and quiet. Although the Inn does not serve breakfast, there are a number of great eating establishments within walking distance or a very short drive, including Michael's Kitchen. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the restaurant in the...

This old hotel has not been updated. While an element of charm exists, one needs to be prepared for old bathrooms with poor water pressure, and no counter space due to a wall mounted sink, etc. Fireplaces are decorative only. The mattresses are not new (read between the lines) and the floor in our room was slanted and uneven. "Historic"...

This place fit me to a T. Live singer-songwriter music right outside my door in the lobby, small lovely warm decor. I just picked it off the internet and could not have been luckier. I would go back in a heartbeat and hope to do just that someday.

This is an old historic hotel, restaurant, and bar that is located in the heart of Taos. Love the location and ambiance. The restaurant, Doc Martins, is wonderful food and offers a decent wine list. The staff is friendly and most times (if they aren't really booked) they will let you look at different rooms to select the one you...

We had a lovely room with parking which was an asset so we walked everywhere. It was a little pricey but was worth it! I liked the bar and restaurant. We were given great direction to local sites maps etc that helped us a great deal

Which is why we've stayed here almost every year for the past 20. This might be the last, however. This trip: almost useless wi-fi, broken tv remote (which we attempted to get fixed twice,) no lightbulbs bright enough to read by. The rooms were clean when we checked in, but the room hadn't been completely serviced with linens. The noise...

This is the fifth or sixth year my friends and I have stayed at the Historic Taos Inn for the annual Taos Wool Festival - each year when we leave we reserve the 104-105 suite for the following year. The Inn has great ambience, is very comfortable, and the Inn people delightful to deal with. It's close to Kit Carson...
