Madikwe game reserve is not the most famous in SA but it is great. The lodge is African style, you feel at home for your stay. Staff, both for lodge and rangers, is very kind and efficient. You will definitely have an awesome stay there....More

The lodges all undertake on- and off-road guided excursions with four wheel drive vehicles. No private 'off roading' takes place in the reserve.

Sorry for this late reply, I think a family lodge would be fine, you just need to ask management for an additional child's bed.
