Our party of 8 recently spent 3 nights at Tau leading up to our daughter's wedding in Pretoria. THE PRO'S To the person, the management and staff were at all times highly professional and accommodating, and NOTHING was too much for them - ever. Our game ranger/guide, Ignatius (Iggy) was absolutely brilliant. There wasn't a question asked (and there were...

We stayed here for 2 nights and did 4 game drives. The lodge is situated next to a waterhole. Thanks to this waterhole you will be able to lots of animals already from your own balcony! We had elephants only a couple of meters from ourselves while relaxing on our balcony. The lodge itself is nice. The staff is very...

Just sensational. The staff in Tumi, Godfrey, Kelly, all the Rangers and especially our Ranger Dylan and all the food and beverage staff were simply superb. Our family (3 children - 14, 12 and 8) visited the Tau Game Lodge for 2 nights. This was our first game park visit and it was amazing!! We had a beautiful family room with a watering hole outside our window. Every animal came -- we saw baby elephants shower themselves and young bulls practice fighting. On the twice-daily tours,...

I visited Tau in March 2015 with a friend for 5 days. This was our first safari and Tau did not disappoint. The game drives with Dylan were amazing and breathtaking. There is nothing like being in the African bush especially at sunset. The spa treatments were so great I went 2 days in a row first for the facial...

We have just got back from a family trip to Tau and already thinking about how soon we can go back. We had been before in 2001 and 2005 but not been back since until now. Can safely say it has exceeded our expectations on this our third visit and we can't wait to go back. We had so much...

I travelled here with my mother. This is an upmarket Game Lodge in the North of the Madikwe Reserve. It's all excellent. The lodge is situated around a waterhole that ensures a steady supply of animals for when you are not on a drive. The rooms all appear to have a water view when the waterhole is full. The staff...

Tau Lodge is in the 4th largest game reserve in South Africa. The lodge is well maintained and each cabin looks out over the water hole, even at the driest there is still water and lots of animals come into drink. We had elephants, buffalo, zebra, kudu, impala, warthog and several others. On the game drives, we saw about 22...

Won a trip with work and we were lucky enough to stay here. The staff are incredibly attentive and happy to help you. They're always so happy too! The rangers are the most knowledgeable people about the area, environment and wildlife as well as amazing hosts and all have awesome personalities. Special shout out to Dylan too. Such a stand...

We stayed at Tau for one night before moving on to a second camp. The gravel road to the camp was a bit cumbersome, but thr reception by the Ranger (Kelly) and all staff was absolutely overwhelming! Great service and super friendly. Despite the fact that Tau is one of the largest camps, the atmosphere was always very family-like. The...
